It’s a marquee WNBA showdown Sunday night as two of the league’s top four teams clash, with the Atlanta Dream visiting the Phoenix Mercury at PHX Arena. Both squads come in at 19-11, just one game behind the Liberty in the race for second place.
Atlanta has won and covered in both meetings with Phoenix this season, but our Dream vs. Mercury predictions and player props back the home side to bounce back — despite the continued strong play of Allisha Gray and Jordin Canada.

My Dream vs Mercury best bet: Allisha Gray Over 16.5 points (-122 at FanDuel)
Allisha Gray has had no trouble putting the ball in the basket this season, and she’s been even more prolific on offense as of late.
Most of our featured sportsbooks offer her scoring line at 17.5 points, but FanDuel offers it at 16.5 without sacrificing much line movement.
Atlanta Dream’s veteran guard has scored at least 22 points in three straight games, leading her team with a 24.7 scoring average in that span.
Gray’s 18.9 points per game on the season represent a new career-high, and she’s averaged just slightly more (19) on the road.
Gray has hit the Over on this scoring line in 17 of 30 games overall, including five of her last eight. Of those 17, two have come against the Mercury and are two of her highest-scoring on the campaign.
Gray went for 26 and 29 points in those two matchups with the Phoenix Mercury this season, and I don’t expect her heater to stop when she faces them on the road tonight.
This line is too good to pass up.

Phoenix went through a rough patch, dropping five of six games before its current three-game win streak.
Over the last three, the Mercury have outscored opponents by 67 points.
I’m backing the Mercury to keep rolling at home and steal a win from the Dream while covering a small spread.
