Make Las Vegas your home away from home for fantasy football drafts

It’s still summer in Vegas so why not take your draft outside? For a high energy party draft you can get a cabana at a dayclub like Encore Beach Club.

Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) is the hot way to play any fantasy sports right now. However DFS isn’t the only way to play fantasy sports and there are still millions of fantasy players who enjoy the season long commitment with their fantasy sports. This is especially the case with the NFL season as there is much less of a time commitment than baseball.

Besides winning, the best part of any fantasy season is the draft. Las Vegas noticed this years ago and has opened its arms to become a destination for people looking to draft somewhere away from home.

Here are a few options when you’re looking to make Vegas your home away from home for your fantasy football draft.

Bars

Who doesn’t like to eat and drink while sifting through piles of fantasy research?

The PBR Bar at Planet Hollywood and Rockhouse at The Venetian are both offering fantasy football draft party packages. Both bars have plenty of TV’s and throughout August and before the football season officially gets underway on Thursday, Sept. 10, PBR Rock Bar and Rockhouse are hosting fantasy football draft parties for groups of eight to 16 people.

League parties will enjoy free Wi-Fi, a take-away draft board with player name stickers included for those who like to draft old-school, and plenty of beer and food specials. They’ll also have $25 Coors beer buckets (six beers), $35 100-ounce Coors beer towers and $7 appetizers.

Hotel Parties

There are a handful of hotels that offer football draft packages but having a party at The D will also give you access to some excellent gambling and a party atmosphere after the draft.

The D now features 11,000 square feet of meeting space. The hotel’s new party room renovations are an ideal spot to throw the perfect sports gathering.

Enjoy the D’s all new “Man Cave” rooms, featuring plush leather couches, beer-pong tables, big screen TVs and the fastest Wi-Fi technology in Downtown Vegas. This makes it perfect for updating social media or checking picks online. Each room includes private cocktail services and an assortment of customizable menu options for larger groups.

Private Suites

One of the most efficient ways to have a fantasy football draft in Vegas is to throw your own. There are plenty of suites on the Vegas Strip but the basic hotel room at The Palazzo is a suite which comes with a small dining area and an L shaped couch to spread out and relax and make picks. Wi-Fi is included in your resort fee should you need to connect with the outside world. This gives you the space you want at a price you can afford.

If you feel like adding food you can order room service or head down to the Grand Canal Shoppes and grab some buffalo wings from the newly opened Anchor Bar. Yes, that’s the same Anchor Bar from Buffalo, NY who invented the buffalo wing.

Enjoy The Sun

It’s still summer in Vegas so why not take your draft outside? You can rent a cabana at one of the pools or dayclubs. This may not be cheap but it’s the kind of once in a lifetime football draft party you won’t have anywhere else.

For a high energy party draft you can get a cabana at a dayclub like Encore Beach Club, Marquee Dayclub or Wet Republic on the Vegas Strip.

If you’d like a little more quiet pool environment you can head out to the burbs and chill with a cabana at M Resorts or Red Rock Resort.

Dine and Draft

A fun fantasy football draft takes time. Sometimes drafts can overflow from meal to meal. Why not have access to good food and good drink?

You can rent out a private room in a restaurant and eat, drink and draft for hours. Carmine’s at the Caesars Palace Forum Shops is a great venue for a fantasy draft since they have multiple spaces (including private rooms), WiFi and huge family style servings of Italian food.
