Figueiredo vs Moreno Betting Preview

Deiveson Figueiredo will headline his second UFC pay-per-view event in a row following a first-round submission victory over Alex Perez just three weeks before. Figueiredo is 9-1 at the UFC level with seven of his nine wins coming via finishes.

The man nicknamed "Deus Da Guerra" (Portuguese for God of War) has terrific knockout power for this weight class, along with top-notch submission skills.

Moreno was unlucky not to be named as Figueiredo's opponent at UFC 255 but took care of business on the preliminary card, winning with a first-round TKO over the No. 6 flyweight Brandon Royval. The "Assassin Baby" is now 4-0-1 over his last five fights.

Despite being just 27 years old, Moreno has 24 MMA fights under his belt and three of his five career defeats came when he was still a teenager. He's a very well-rounded fighter that combines high-level grappling with crisp boxing.

Figueiredo vs Moreno UFC Prediction and Betting Pick

PREDICTION: Figueiredo to win -325 - Moreno is usually bigger than his flyweight opponents but that won't be the case against Deus Da Guerra, who is absolutely massive for this division and whose biggest challenge so far in the UFC has been making weight.

The short three-week turnaround could benefit Figueiredo, who can stay relatively close to his fighting weight and shouldn't feel as sapped when cutting.

While Moreno is very well-rounded as a fighter, Figueiredo might be a bit better across every category and his strength advantage and pressure will be very difficult for the challenger to overcome.

Former flyweight champ Henry Cejudo might be loathed to admit it but Figueiredo is on the fast-track to becoming a UFC superstar and I think he gets one step closer to that status with another win on Saturday night.

PREDICTION: Figueiredo to win by KO/TKO +155 - Three of Figueiredo's last four wins have come via submission but the Assassin Baby is also very dangerous on the mat.

Although Moreno's win at UFC 255 came by strikes, it was after scrambling and submission attempts hurt Royval, making him vulnerable. In the stand-up, Moreno ate a few shots which could prove a very dangerous game to play against Figueiredo.

Figueiredo not only has devastating power but is also extremely precise with those power shots, wielding a significant strike accuracy of 52 percent. Look for him to win with a knockout.

PREDICTION: Total Rounds Under 2.5 (-112) - While most flyweights aren't known for their quick finishes, the fact that both of these guys are coming off first-round stoppage wins should tell you that Figueiredo and Moreno aren't like most 125-pound fighters.

Figueiredo has been a finishing master recently with three of his last four bouts ending in the first round, and the other fight going only two minutes into the second round before he knocked out Joseph Benavidez.

With a high-pressure power-puncher like Figueiredo, don't expect this bout to go long and back the Under 2.5 rounds prop.
