UFC 320 features the return of Alex Pereira as he attempts to regain the light heavyweight title from the man who wrested it from him, Magomed Ankalaev, and a bantamweight title fight between Merab Dvalishvili and Cory Sandhagen.

The preliminary card features Bellator standout Patchy Mix attempting to get his first UFC win, and we predict that the improved versions of Punahele Soriano and Edmen Shahbazyan are going to show out in a big way.

Here are my best free UFC 320 preliminary predictions and free betting picks from Las Vegas.

UFC 320 prelim odds and picks

Patchy Mix vs Jakub Wikłacz fight odds

Bet99
Method of Victory Mix Wikłacz
To win outright -310 +235
To win by KO/TKO +800 +1500
To win by decision +150 +450
To win by submission +180 +1050
Draw +5000 +5000

Odds as of 10-4.

Patchy Mix’s UFC debut was a stumble, but the former Bellator standout is far too skilled to stay down for long. Jakub Wiklacz, a former KSW champion, enters as a live opponent with solid experience, but his biggest weakness is defending strong grapplers. That’s exactly the wrong area to be vulnerable vs. Mix.

Wiklack’s takedown defense and scrambling ability aren’t proven at this level, and once Mix gets his hands on him, the fight will likely hit the mat. From there, Mix’s top control and submission game will take over, and he’ll score his first UFC win via submission.

Prediction: Mix moneyline (-210 at BET99)
Best Bet: Mix to win by submission (+190 at BET99)

Punahele Soriano vs Nikolay Veretennikov fight odds

Bet99
Method of Victory Soriano Veretennikov
To win outright -300 +225
To win by KO/TKO +135 +510
To win by decision +220 +640
To win by submission +800 +2100
Draw +5000 +5000

Odds as of 10-4.

Dropping to welterweight has given Punahele Soriano new life. His trademark power carries down with him, and he’s looked sharp and dangerous at the lighter weight. Nikolay Veretennikov doesn’t have the tools to neutralize Soriano’s pressure. Over half of his career losses have come inside the distance, and his defense doesn’t inspire much confidence.

Soriano’s aggression, pace, and raw athleticism will overwhelm Veretennikov, who doesn’t have the variety or durability to survive early exchanges. The call is Soriano scoring a crushing first-round knockout.

Prediction: Soriano moneyline (-290 at BET99)
Best Bet: Soriano to win in R1 (+290 at BET99)

Edmen Shahbazyan vs André Muniz fight odds

Bet99
Method of Victory Shahbazyan Muniz
To win outright +325 +240
To win by KO/TKO -160 +1650
To win by decision +405 +700
To win by submission +2500 +550
Draw +5000 +5000

Odds as of 10-4.

Edmen Shahbazyan is putting the pieces together after years of inconsistency, now riding a two-fight winning streak. André Muniz, on the other hand, has looked flat in recent outings and is well past his peak. While Muniz is still dangerous if he drags the fight to the ground, his best hope of springing an upset will be to last long enough for Shahbazyan to gas out and have enough left in the tank to mount a late rally.

Shahbazyan’s fast starts and striking power are a nightmare matchup for this version of Muniz. Unless Muniz can somehow weather the early storm and grind from the top position, he’ll be a sitting target. I’m betting on Shahbazyan making it three in a row with a knockout win.

Prediction: Shahbazyan moneyline (-310 at BET99)
Best Bet: Shahbazyan to win by knockout (-160 at BET99)
