Despite both teams being mired in extended losing streaks, they've both surprisingly cashed the Over in four of their last five games. These teams have allowed the most and third-most points in the CFL this season. Ottawa just put up back-to-back 30+ point performances against the Calgary Stampeders, and Hamilton lost a 37-35 overtime heartbreaker against the high-flying Edmonton Elks.

Hamilton has won three straight against Ottawa, and four of the last five meetings. They rank fifth in rushing yards allowed, far from league-best, but the Redblacks have produced only 697 rushing yards through 14 games, over 400 less than the second-fewest and the same as TiCats RB Larry Rountree III. Yes, Harrison Frost has been erratic through the air, but Redblacks QB Jake Maier has been the worst starting quarterback in the league this season, with just an 87.8 QB rating.

By all means, this game is set to be a track meet. Calgary is 12-3 to the O/U this season, while Saskatchewan's defence has taken a step back following plenty of offseason turnover. Adams is playing the best football of his career, boasting a career-best 113.8 passer rating. Riders All-Star corner Tevaughn Campbell is also questionable, giving the Stamps a similar opportunity through the air to what B.C. exploited last week, when Nathan Rourke and the Leos racked up 439 yards of net offence. Meanwhile, the Stamps' D is still surrendering 34.0 ppg while allowing 6.0 yards per rush, the latter being the worst mark in the league. That will help Saskatchewan running back AJ Ouellette get going and give the Riders' offence some traction to help push this total Over.

Not only have the Saskatchewan Roughriders dropped four of their last six games, but the Riders' offence has really hit a skid in the process, failing to reach 20 points in three of those contests. Trevor Harris has been shaky down the stretch, with the 40-year-old quarterback showing signs of slowing down. He owns just a 91.2 passer rating and a 6-4 TD-INT ratio over that stretch, and even missed the first day of practice this week due to illness. On the other side, Vernon Adams Jr. and the Calgary Stampeders lead the league in points per game (35.7), with Calgary coming off two straight wins while scoring 40+ in each. At +5.5, I'm comfortable playing Calgary down to +3.5 on Friday night.

After getting torched through the first few weeks of the season, the Lions' defence has really clamped down under DC Mike Benevides. B.C. now ranks third in points allowed per game while surrendering a league-best 3.8 yards per rush. I expect B.C. to put up plenty of points, but Toronto will have a tough time doing its part to push this total Over 64.5 without Kelly — a number the Argos haven't eclipsed in their last 11 games. Playable to 62.5.

Toronto Argonauts quarterback Chad Kelly is listed as questionable for this one after being limited in practice late this week due to an injury to his throwing hand. Having already clinched a home playoff game, there’s not much reason for the Argos to start Kelly this afternoon, especially with Montreal pulling away for first place in the East Division. Toronto is essentially locked into the second seed with four games remaining in the regular season. Meanwhile, the BC Lions are still fighting tooth and nail for a home playoff game, deadlocked with Saskatchewan at 8-7 entering Week 18, with Winnipeg and Calgary close behind. The Lions have rattled off seven wins over their last nine games, with Nathan Rourke & Co. reaching 30+ points in six of those contests. With a heavy disparity in motivation, taking BC on the spread is playable to -3.5.

If the Alouettes are playing, take the Over.

They're an astounding 12-2-0 O/U this season and have cashed the Over in six consecutive games. 58.5 is the lowest line for an Als game since late July, and the Bombers' 7-7-0 O/U record is respectable enough that they shouldn't single-handedly drag the total down.

Their lone meeting in 2026 smashed the Over, and a team has scored at least 40 points in each of their last two encounters.

The Alouettes, a CFL-best 11-3, are heavy favorites for good reason.

The 7-7 Blue Bombers are still without QB Zach Collaros at practice and have lost two straight road games. Meanwhile, the Als are a spotless 7-0 at home this season and have won eight of their last 10 overall.

Montreal's 1-2 receiver punch in Tyson Philpot and Tyler Snead is hands-down the best in Canadian football. Furthermore, Davis Alexander has the highest QB rating among all qualified starters.

What's The Deal With This CFL Computer Picks Table?

The above table shows the result of the last 100 CFL computer picks. This table features important information you can use to shape your Canadian Football League bets, like the public consensus, ATS and totals. Before you throw up your hands in frustration like a center watching his quarterback get sacked 13 seconds after the snap, we'll explain the ins and outs of betting on the CFL.

ROI

This amount is the profit (or loss) based on a bettor placing $100 on each of the last 100 CFL picks made by the computer on both the opening and closing lines. "To Win" represents the win based on moneyline bets. "ATS" signifies the win based on wagers against the spread. "Total O/U" shows the amount bettors would win on Over or Under wagers.

Record Keeping

Wins are listed first, losses second, and pushes or ties are third. Since there are no ties in CFL moneyline betting, if there is a push listed, that would mean the computer predicted a tie and wouldn't have placed a wager on that game.

At Odds Shark, we want you to have everything you need to make smart CFL wagers, which is why you'll also see the predicted score. The predicted score can give you a hint about which way to bet. For instance, if Hamilton is playing Ottawa and the predicted score is 31.4-18.4 for the Tiger-Cats, you could make a simple moneyline bet. For moneyline bets you would only need to bet on one team to triumph over the other. In this case if you picked Hamilton and they won, you'd win your moneyline bet. On the other hand, if the Redblacks won, you'd lose your bet.

Looking For Expert Picks On The CFL Tonight?

Our supercomputer generates expert picks that can help you cover the spread for every game. Take a gander at our computer predictions and take advantage of our free picks before you place any money on the CFL wagerline.

Because we're usually biased in our opinions, our judgment can become cloudy when it comes to betting on the CFL. The good news is, our supercomputer couldn't give a flying Nanaimo bar if you have a thing for that magical Henry Burris smile. Our computer only cares about data. Plus, Burris is retired, so making a bet on him would be a complete waste of money.

Anyway, our computer knows who's retired, who's starting, which teams are on pace to win their matchups, and which teams could get eradicated by a single point (aka rouge). Instead of relying on analysts and your friend who thinks he knows everything about the Stamps because he went to one game, use our supercomputer to shape your CFL bets.

Nowadays, more and more bettors like yourself are relying on the Odds Shark computers to come up with impartial stats-focused CFL predictions. When the stats are precise, the handicapping measurements and algorithms are solid, then you don't have to worry about our computer making improper predictions. Our computer is reliable like Milt Stegall in his 14 years with Winnipeg.
