BC's offense looks completely lost without reigning MOP Nathan Rourke at the helm. While Salter's mobility — relative to Brice's — should give the Lions a better chance of extending plays outside the pocket, it's hard to trust an offence that has averaged just 14.5 points per game over the last two weeks. Game-script aside, 54.5 is too steep for me to pull the trigger on the Over, especially given the last six head-to-head matchups have failed to clear this number. Playable to -125.

Dru Brown draws a favorable matchup against a BC Lions pass defence that has allowed opposing quarterbacks to complete 73.9% of their attempts, the worst mark in the league. BC's D has also struggled to get off the field, posting the league's lowest second-down stop rate. Meanwhile, Kaidon Salter is set to make his first CFL start after taking first-team reps this week. The former Colorado pivot replaced the struggling Chase Brice late in the fourth quarter of last week's 26-12 loss to Toronto, and he'll have his hands full against a Blue Bombers defence that leads the league in sacks (15) and pass knockdowns (32). Winnipeg is set for a double-digit win in Week 9, and I'd play this to -9.5 in the CFL odds.

The Montreal Alouettes look like the most complete team in the CFL this season. They're 5-2 ATS behind an offense putting up a league-high 444.4 yards per game with the second-most PPG (34.1). Nobody looks capable of stopping the Davis Alexander to Tyson Philpot connection, especially not the Ottawa Redblacks. Ottawa is the league's only winless team, and its defense is giving up the most PPG (35.5) and yards per game (437.2) in the CFL. This is a terrible matchup for Ottawa.

Don't let the Calgary Stampeders' record fool you; they have one of the league's most potent offenses. Vernon Adams Jr. has been arguably the best player in the CFL - leading it in TD passes (20) with zero interceptions - and Calgary is averaging a mind-blowing 39.7 PPG. Without Bo Levi Mitchell, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats are going to struggle to keep pace. Hamilton is averaging the fewest PPG in the league (23.9) and has failed to cover the spread in three of its last four.

In one of the best games of the year last week, the Edmonton Elks went into Regina and beat the Saskatchewan Roughriders on a walk-off field goal. That win solidified Edmonton as the best team in the West this season - they have the best ATS record in the league (6-1), too. While the Roughriders are also one of the league's top teams, their defensive inconsistencies (28.2 PPG and 384.3 yards per game allowed) should be the difference again. The Elks give up a league-low 24.6 PPG while still maintaining a top-four offense.

The above table shows the result of the last 100 CFL computer picks. This table features important information you can use to shape your Canadian Football League bets, like the public consensus, ATS and totals. This amount is the profit (or loss) based on a bettor placing $100 on each of the last 100 CFL picks made by the computer on both the opening and closing lines. "To Win" represents the win based on moneyline bets. "ATS" signifies the win based on wagers against the spread. "Total O/U" shows the amount bettors would win on Over or Under wagers.
Wins are listed first, losses second, and pushes or ties are third. Since there are no ties in CFL moneyline betting, if there is a push listed, that would mean the computer predicted a tie and wouldn't have placed a wager on that game.
