The Tempo have had trouble as a visitor – most notably on defense - and are hitting the road with a quick turnaround after a grueling overtime win on Wednesday.
Austin is sixth in average PITP (9.8). She scored 12 of her 18 points in the key versus Toronto in the season opener. She picked up the other six points on 10 FTAs. The Tempo commit the third highest personal fouls on the road (23.7).
Brittney Sykes has been red hot for Toronto and carrying the offense with Rice sidelined. She’s gone for 63 total points in the past two games, with her usage soaring to 31.4% in those outings. The former Mystics guard has taken at least 18 FGA in the past three games and is projected for 21+ points tonight.

Shakira Austin gets more touches with Kiki Iriafen likely out versus the Toronto Tempo. Austin already tops the Washington Mystics in usage and her inside scoring pokes a soft spot in the Tempo defense. Toronto sits dead last in opponent points in the paint and its defensive rating balloons from No. 2 at home to a league-worst 121.3 on the road. The Tempo may debut center Temi Fagbenle in limited work but could be without top interior defender Nyara Sabally. The addition practice time helps Austin snap a shooting slump and her projections call for closer to 16 points.

Gabby Williams may have gone for 25+ in back-to-back games, but she's hit double-digit scoring just once in nine career games against Seattle, including seven in this year's season opener. Meanwhile, Dominique Malonga has played just six games this season, missing time due to a concussion, but she's been Seattle's leading scorer when playing. She's scored at least 15 points four times this year.

The Seattle Storm's seven-game skid is about as rough an offensive patch you can hit. During that stretch, the Storm are averaging just 71.7 points while shooting 39.2%. Their last-place offensive rating has contributed to losing five of the last seven by double digits, and that will be a problem against a Golden State Valkyries team that is allowing only 80.5 points per contest and ranks in the top half of the W in field-goal defense (42.9%). With the matchup favoring Golden State on both ends, I'd back the visitors up to -10.5.
