Scottie Barnes’ assists prop is listed at -130 for over 5.5, and I’m hitting that number—I make it closer to -225. One key factor in this projection is that it assumes Immanuel Quickley is playing on a minutes restriction. That’s important, because even with Quickley active, there’s still a strong edge. If Quickley were to be ruled out, Barnes would take on an even larger role as the Raptors’ primary point forward. Barnes also faces a tough defensive matchup with Evan Mobley as his primary defender and Jarrett Allen providing help at the rim. Rather than forcing shots against elite defenders, Barnes typically plays to his strengths—using his IQ and gravity to draw attention and create opportunities for his teammates. His goal isn’t to challenge the shot blockers directly, but to occupy them and generate open looks, which should translate into assist opportunities.

The Toronto Raptors got absolutely crushed in Game 1, as the Cavaliers stretched the lead to 20+ points in the second half and ultimately won by 13. In a playoff series, it’s tough to shake what you saw in the previous game, but as this spread climbs to 9.5 points with people comfortable backing Cleveland, it feels like too many points. This sets up as a buy-back spot on the Raptors. I expect to see adjustments from Toronto, particularly in their two-man actions with Brandon Ingram. The screener should be whoever is being guarded by James Harden, rather than continuing to involve Evan Mobley or Jarrett Allen—both of whom are capable of disrupting Ingram’s mid-range game. We’re not asking for a win here, just a cover, and I make the Raptors closer to a 7.5-point underdog in this spot.

Dyson Daniels enjoyed a second straight productive season with the Hawks, averaging 33.2 minutes and career highs of 6.8 rebounds and 5.9 assists across 76 appearances.
In four games against New York (regular and postseason), Daniels finished with assist+rebound totals of 20, 15, 14, and 17. He easily topped 11.5 in all four games.

Nikola Jokic o10.5 Total Assists (+118)
Imagine looking at a total of 10.5 assists and thinking it’s too low—that’s how good Nikola Jokić is. It’s not the number itself that stands out, but the +118 price that really gives us the edge. I make this prop closer to -115 for Jokić to record 11 assists in Game 2 against the Timberwolves. Jamal Murray torched Minnesota in Game 1 with 30 points, and if the Timberwolves get more aggressive by blitzing him to force the ball out of his hands, it should lead to Jokić operating as the release valve. That puts him in prime position to find open teammates and rack up potential assists. The other factor is Rudy Gobert, who doesn’t apply enough pressure on Jokić and often allows him to operate like a quarterback in a clean pocket with clear passing lanes. Jokić finished with 21 potential assists in Game 1, which reinforces the upside in this spot.
Anthony Edwards o5.5 Total Rebounds (+102)
As the Timberwolves have made the Western Conference Finals in each of the last two years, their franchise cornerstone has crashed the glass more aggressively in the postseason. In 2023-24, Edwards averaged 5.4 rebounds per game in the regular season. In 2024-25, he averaged 5.7. In the 2024 playoffs, Edwards grabbed at least six rebounds in 10 of 16 games, averaging seven across three series. In the 2025 plays, he grabbed at least six rebounds in 12 of 15 games, averaging 7.8 across three series.

The Celtics led by 18 at halftime in Game 1, and they did not even play that well. Boston shot just 6-of-18 from beyond the arc in the first half on Sunday, Philadelphia took four more free throws in the half as well as three more shots, and the rebounding margin was even.
