Polanco’s confidence is sky-high right now after driving in clutch runs in each of his last two games, and he’s already proven he can handle elite pitching, taking Tarik Skubal deep twice in the ALDS against the Tigers. He matches up well here, too: Polanco handles both the four-seam fastball and the splitter, which are key weapons for Trey Yesavage. Even when the Blue Jays turn to their bullpen, you don’t have to worry much about matchups — as a switch hitter, Polanco can hold his own from either side of the plate.
