Blue Jays third baseman Edwin Encarnacion is one homer away from 40 and one RBI away from 100. Encarnacion has five homers in his last 11 games.

The Mariners won each of the first two games by one run, dropping Toronto’s record in such games to 11-23. Seattle has won six of eight meetings between the teams this season. Mariners third baseman Kyle Seager is 6-for-10 in the series. He has 18 homers this season with 14 of them coming on the road. The Blue Jays are in fourth place in the American League East, one game ahead of the Boston Red Sox. Encarnacion hit a two-run homer for Toronto’s lone runs on Wednesday.

About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
