Baltimore @ Texas preview
Choctaw Stadium
Last Meeting ( Aug 20, 2012 ) Baltimore 1, Texas 5
The Texas Rangers attempt to continue their dominance of the Baltimore Orioles when the clubs continue their three-game series Tuesday. Texas kicked off its 10-game homestand with a 5-1 triumph in Monday's series opener, its ninth win in the last 10 meetings between the clubs. The Rangers, who increased their lead over Oakland in the American League West to six games, have won four of their last five overall contests.
The Orioles had won four of five on the road and 11 of 15 overall prior to Monday's loss. Baltimore is in danger of losing its first series since dropping two of three at home to Oakland from July 27-29. The club maintained its hold on the second wild-card spot in the AL as the Athletics, who trail by one-half game, also lost on Monday.
