The Freeway Series resumes Friday when the Los Angeles Angels host the Los Angeles Dodgers in the opener of their three-game interleague series. The Angels took two of three at Dodger Stadium last week, claiming both of their wins by one run. They own a 52-37 record against the Dodgers since the beginning of interleague play in 1997 and have won each of the last five series.
The Angels have captured four of their last five games overall - three via shutout - and each of their last four series. The National League West-leading Dodgers still are seeking the first win of their nine-game road trip after being swept by the Oakland Athletics of a three-game series in which they scored a total of two runs on eight hits.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Dodgers RH Chad Billingsley (4-5, 3.75 ERA) vs. Angels RH Dan Haren (4-7, 3.97)
Billingsley has won each of his last two road starts, allowing a total of two runs and eight hits over 14 innings. The 27-year-old did not fare as well in his most recent outing as he yielded five runs over six frames in a home loss to the Chicago White Sox on Saturday. Billingsley is just 1-4 with a 4.10 ERA in eight career games - six starts - against the Angels, losing each of his last three decisions.
Haren is hoping to rebound from a pair of disappointing performances. After notching a win at Colorado on June 9 despite allowing four runs - all solo homers - in just 5 1/3 innings, the 31-year-old surrendered five runs over 6 1/3 frames in a loss to Arizona last Friday. Haren, who is 5-5 lifetime against the Dodgers, has gone 1-5 with a 4.09 ERA in eight home starts this year.
