We have a monster clash in the Club World Cup on Wednesday with the reigning European champs meeting the best team in the history of the continent, with PSG and Real Madrid clashing at MetLife.

Real Madrid have the pedigree and beat the Parisians in their most recent meeting in 2022, but this is a very different PSG team, and our PSG vs. Real Madrid predictions have Luis Enrique’s men beating Los Blancos.

Read on for my FIFA Club World Cup free picks for Wednesday, July 9, with kickoff at 3:00 p.m. ET on DAZN.

PSG vs Real Madrid picks and predictions

My PSG vs Real Madrid best bet: PSG to win (+130 at bet365)

This is the biggest game of the Club World Cup so far and gives us an incredible narrative as the reigning Champions League winners face the team who have won that competition more than anybody else.

It’s also the first time we’ll see PSG’s former favorite son, Kylian Mbappe, face his former team. Sadly for Mbappe, while he’s joined the biggest team in the world, his former side are now the best and should continue their historic season with a win here, getting them closer to winning their fourth major honor of the season.

Willian Pacho’s red card in the win over Bayern Munich will give Real Madrid some hope of getting at the PSG defense, as will the form of their young striker Gonzalo Garcia, who has scored four goals already and is keeping Mbappe on the bench, as he returns from injury.

However, this PSG team have more than enough without Pacho.

Fabian Ruiz, Vitinha, and Joao Neves are the best midfield three on the planet, and the attacking is substantially better than anyone else’s.

Bradley Barcola is set to drop to the bench to welcome back Ousmane Dembele, who alongside Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will terrorize a Madrid defense missing key players, such as the suspended Dean Huijsen and injured Ferland Mendy, and a Real team still taking to life under new head coach Xabi Alonso.

PSG moneyline

Goal to be scored after 77:59

Ousmane Dembele to score or assist

Real Madrid gave up two goals in extra time against Dortmund, their second game conceding after the 78th minute in this competition. With the game likely to see somebody chasing the game, the game will open up and should give us a late goal.

We’re also backing Dembele to score or assist. The Frenchman has 35 goals and 12 assists for club and country this season, furthering his cause to win the Ballon d’Or. Crucially he came from the bench against Bayern, as he continues his recovery from injury, and still managed to score despite playing just 20 minutes.
