It's always an eventful affair when these two meet, so I expect the legacy to last as they confront each other on Saturday.

Newcastle won just one point from their previous three Premier League games, as they only sit 11th in the table. Brentford are punching above their weight and are now 7th, dreaming of Europe next season.

The clashes between Newcastle and Brentford are always entertaining, so I'm counting on goals for this one.

Here are my Newcastle vs. Brentford predictions and free betting picks for February 7.

Premier League predictions for Newcastle vs Brentford

My Newcastle vs Brentford best bet: Over 2.5 goals (-152 at Sports Interaction)

Let me start by saying there have been an average of 4.1 goals per game in Premier League meetings between Brentford and Newcastle (37 goals in 9 games), the highest ratio of any fixture to have been played as many times.

These two never hold back when they play each other.

There have been at least four goals scored in Newcastle's previous two matches, which both ended with the Magpies being defeated. They lost 4-1 to Liverpool in the Premier League at Anfield, then 3-1 to City in the League Cup semi-final second leg.

Newcastle don't have any other option than to attack and force a win against Brentford, and the visitors couldn't be happier to use their killer-counters in return.

I believe it's going to be full of events, and goals will come at both ends, so I'm going for the Over in this one.

Newcastle vs Brentford same-game parlay (SGP)

Over 2.5

Dango Ouattara 1+ shots on target

Igor Thiago 1+ shots on target

Bruno Guimarães 1+ shots on target

Over 9.5 corners

Dango Ouattara netted his 13th Premier League goal in Brentford's 1-0 win over Aston Villa. He is looking to score in consecutive games for the first time.

Another individual performer I'm counting on is Igor Thiago. The Brentford star forward sent 31 shots on target in the 24 matches he played this season. He scored 16 times. I won't leave him out of my SGP.

I'm counting on Bruno Guimaraes to push from midfield for Newcastle, so I'm adding him as well. He sent six shots on target in his last five matches, scoring three goals.

Bruno missed Newcastle's last four games with an ankle injury he picked up in the Champions League match against PSV Eindhoven. Without him, Newcastle were winless. His return could fuel Eddie Howe's side with some much-needed firepower.

To round up a nice +750 return, I'm not leaving corners out either.
