Man United is the team in far better form, but keeping clean sheets has been a challenge for them. Look for West Ham to score but ultimately lose on Thursday.

Manchester United seek to continue their resurgence when they host West Ham United in a mid-week Premier League tilt at Old Trafford on Thursday.

Ruben Amorim’s side ended a three-match winless run at the weekend, picking up 14 of a possible 21 points since the start of October. Now they take on a Hammers side that failed to manage a shot on goal in a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool over the weekend.

Read on for my Man United vs. West Ham predictions and free betting picks for Thursday, December 4.

Premier League predictions for Man United vs West Ham

My Man United vs West Ham best bet: Man United to win and both teams to score (+165 at Sports Interaction)

Manchester United are heavily favored to win on Thursday despite losing 1-0 to Everton in their last home outing. That marked their only defeat in the last seven matches, as Amorim’s side got back to winning ways with a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace at the weekend.

The Everton defeat also ended a four-match run of Premier League victories at home, with the only other failure at Old Trafford coming at the hands of Arsenal to open the campaign. Their match with West Ham United presents an opportunity to get back to their winning ways.

Matheus Cunha’s return to training on Wednesday morning gives an additional lift to a side that sometimes struggles with teams defending in a low block. But the Hammers are struggling away from home, both before and after the appointment of Nuno Espirito Santo as manager.

They blew a 2-0 halftime lead last week at Bournemouth, with a 2-2 draw giving them just five points from six away fixtures. They’ve conceded 10 goals in those matches, losing three times. And they’ve conceded the second-most goals of any side in the Premier League.

Lucas Paqueta’s suspension will rob the away side of one of the few impact players they possess, and the Red Devils should be able to utilize an in-form Bruno Fernandes to get the win.

However, Man United still must deal with Jarrod Bowen, who possesses a threat despite not having scored since late September. They’ve also not kept a clean sheet in six straight, and have just one on the whole of the campaign.

Look for the Red Devils to get the win, but to once again capitulate a goal as they often do once Casemiro makes way for Manuel Ugarte in midfield.

Man United vs West Ham same-game parlay (SGP)

Man United to win and both teams to score

Jarrod Bowen 2+ shots

Bruno Fernandes 1+ assists

Bowen is seeking to become the first West Ham player more than 20 years to score in three consecutive league outings against Man United, having scored in each of their Premier League duels last season. While he’s not managed to score in over two months, he’s still firing at will.

He’s averaging 2.29 shots per 90 in the league since that last goal, and will take on an even more important role with Paqueta out. He’s taken multiple shots in of his last seven and should find opportunities against the Man United wingbacks.

Bruno Fernandes notched assists on both goals against Palace, and now has assisted 56 times for the Red Devils in the Premier League.

West Ham have conceded goals from a league-high 10 set pieces this campaign, and both Bruno’s assists came via free kicks. I like him to notch another one here for the fourth time in five matches, and fifth match out of seven.
