That tactical tweak has breathed new life into City’s players and refreshed a system that had begun to look like it was no longer working, with teams often managing to subdue City over the past 12 months.
Man City have won all three games at the Club World Cup so far, prevailing 2-0 in their opening game, followed by a 6-0 rout of Al-Ain and an impressive 5-2 win over Juventus last week.
Al-Hilal finished second in the Saudi Pro League this season, and they have only managed one win in their three games at this tournament. Back City on the spread, especially given that City have won their past five games by two or more goals.
