Both Fulham and Nottingham Forest are struggling and are way below their projected league positions. The importance of this clash goes beyond the three points.

Forest have started climbing the Premier League ladder after a dismal start to the campaign, but they're still far from their original objectives. Judging by their form, my Fulham vs. Nottingham Forest predictions expect an open game.

I'll opt for goals in my free betting picks for Monday, December 22.

Premier League predictions for Fulham vs Nottingham Forest

My Fulham vs Nottingham Forest best bet: Over 2.5 (-104 at Sports Interaction)

An interesting extract from the stats tells us Nottingham Forest have lost all three of their Premier League away games against Fulham by an aggregate score of 9-1. It's their worst 100% loss rate away from home against any opponent in the English top-flight.

But we need to put that into current context. Forest have won four of their last six Premier League games, more than they had in their previous 18. They have scored 3+ goals in three of their eight Premier League games under Sean Dyche, so that tells us something about their appetite.

Fulham have both scored and conceded in each of their last four Premier League fixtures, with these games producing a total of 20 goals. I'm counting on the goals to keep coming, so I'm taking Sports Interaction's -104 for Over 2.5 goals.

Fulham vs Nottingham Forest same-game parlay (SGP)

Over 2.5

Harry Wilson 1+ shots on target

Over 9.5 corners

Over 3.5 cards

All seven of Fulham's goals from set pieces in the Premier League this season have been from corners, with only Arsenal hitting the net more from corners than the Cottagers.

Fulham's average for corners per game is at 5.13, with Forest's at 5.38. At home, Fulham stands at 6.25, the fifth-highest in the league.

Harry Wilson has been involved in six goals in his last four Premier League games. He provided three goals and three assists.

Overall, he’s been involved in eight goals this season (five goals, three assists). I'm counting on him to be involved for Fulham, putting Forest's net in danger.

I'm spicing up this SGP further with cards. Fulham's season average is at 1.75 bookings per match, while Forest stand at 1.63.
