The quarterfinals of the UEFA Women’s Euros are here, and we have an intriguing game between Sweden and England in Zurich.

These two teams know each other well, which is why my Sweden vs England predictions have both teams to score as the safest bet on the board.

England vs Sweden picks and predictions

My England vs Sweden best bet: Both teams to score (-125 at bet365)

The group stage is in the books, and we’re now at the business end of the Women’s Euros.

Sweden has won all three games so far and faces an English team, which has found their footing after a defeat to France in their opening game. That game saw the French put two past England, and they also gave up a goal against Wales in their last game. However, despite averaging a goal conceded per game, Sarina Wiegman’s team has scored in every game, racking up 11 goals in their three games.

Sweden have been amongst the goals too, scoring in each game for a total of eight goals, but they’ve not looked quite as dynamic going forward as England.

The Swedes have kept two clean sheets so far, but they gave up a goal to Germany, and you’d have to think that England, with their attacking options led by Alessia Russo, Ella Toone, and Lauren James, should also be able to score against them.

These two teams are playing exceptionally well and ranking fifth and sixth in the women’s rankings. It’s going to be a tight game, but it promises goals for both sets of supporters.

England vs Sweden same-game parlay (SGP)

Both teams to score — Yes

England moneyline

Ella Toone to score or assist

This hasn’t been a vintage tournament so far for England, but they’ve started to find some form after that slow start against France. They are still the reigning champions, and in Wiegman, they have an excellent manager who can be the difference-maker here.

The final leg of the SGP sees us backing Ella Toone to either score or assist. The midfielder is a veteran despite being just 25 years old, as she makes her 63rd appearance for England. She’s in red hot form with goals in her past two games, as well as racking up a further two assists at this Euros.
