England vs Italy Predictions, Picks & Odds for Tuesday's Women's Euro Semifinal

Even with some injuries mounting, England can still apply the pressure against Italy. However, those injuries give Italy a greater shot at getting at least one tally of their own.

The first leg of the UEFA Women’s Euros semi-finals takes place this Tuesday with England and Italy meeting to find out who’ll play in the showpiece game against either Germany or Spain, who play on Wednesday.

England have earned a reputation for being one of the best teams in the women’s game over recent years and are favorites. However, they haven’t looked entirely convincing, which is why our England vs Italy predictions expect Both teams to score on Tuesday, July 22.

England vs Italy picks and predictions

My England vs Italy best bet: Both teams to score - Yes (-125 at bet365)

Just one game stands between England and Italy and the final of the Women’s European Championships.

Italy have performed well to reach this stage, but they lack England's pace and aggression, and have less experience in these big moments. That said, they’ve scored in all four of their games, including a consolation against an excellent Spain team.

England haven’t been at their best throughout this tournament, but they have been bailed out by some excellent attacking performances and have real depth in attacking positions.

We saw Chloe Kelly and Beth Mead change the game from the bench in the quarter-final, and it’s hard to see the Lionesses not scoring against this Italian team.

However, England have just one clean sheet in four games, which should set off an alarm for bettors, especially with the captain and defensive linchpin Leah Williamson in serious doubt to start.

With Lucy Bronze, another member of that back four, also doubtful, there are real concerns for England. Back both teams to find the back of the net in a game which should see plenty of goals.

England vs Italy same-game parlay (SGP)

Both teams to score - Yes

England Over 2.5 goals

Alessia Russo to score or assist

England have been giving up too many goals at this tournament, hence our best bet, but they’ve looked dangerous in attack, as evidenced by 13 goals through four games. Spain put three past Italy, and the Lionesses should do similar.

The final leg is for Alessia Russo to either score or assist. The Arsenal star has a goal and three assists through her first four games and despite not scoring against the Swedes, she put in a real shift. Assuming she keeps up her pace, she has a great chance of being involved.
