Bayern Munich vs Tottenham Predictions, Picks & Odds for Thursday's Club Friendly Match

Bayern Munich haven't had any time to regroup following their participation in the Club World Cup, and this will be to Tottenham's benefit. Spurs won't necessarily win, but they will limit Bayern's production.

We have a preseason game featuring two of Europe’s biggest sides, as Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur clash at Allianz Arena.

These teams know each other well, with Bayern’s Harry Kane arriving from Spurs two summers ago and Mathys Tel and Joao Palhinha having both played for Bayern. Our Bayern Munich vs Tottenham Hotspur predictions have Under 2.5 goals scored by the German side.

Bayern Munich vs Tottenham picks and predictions

My Bayern Munich vs Tottenham best bet: Bayern Munich team total Under 2.5 (-125 at bet365)

We’re in an interesting position with Joao Palhinha set to make his Spurs debut against Bayern Munich, the club he signed on loan from, a matter of days ago.

While Spurs are undergoing a period of transition with new manager Thomas Frank in charge, they’ve been impressive in preseason, beating Arsenal and drawing with Newcastle. They’ve given up just three goals in five friendly games this summer and will be a tough act for Bayern.

For Bayern, this is just their second preseason game, having finished their season in early July, thanks to taking part in the Club World Cup. That’s a short period of time off, but we can’t expect them to be at their best, especially with Jamal Musiala out and the likes of Leroy Sane having left the club.

They have real talent, but they won’t be at the same level of game fitness that the Tottenham players will have reached. It might take a while for their attack to click, and Spurs come into this clash with five games of preparation.

With that in mind, we’re taking Bayern Munich to score Under 2.5 goals against a Spurs team that has looked good this summer.

Bayern Munich TT Under 2.5

Both teams to score

Harry Kane anytime goal

Spurs have started to gel under Thomas Frank this preseason and have scored in four of their five warm-up games. Bayern conceded in their lone preseason game so far.

Even though he’s left the club, Harry Kane is still a Spurs icon and one of the world’s best strikers, fresh off a strong second season in Bavaria, scoring 26 times in Bundesliga last year. He knows this Spurs side well and would truly relish scoring against his former side.
