Vinicius Junior has seen his share of cards this season. Our expert La Liga predictions expect the Real Madrid star to pick up at least one when they face Barcelona.

Barcelona enters El Clásico today with a chance to officially clinch the La Liga title, needing only a result against longtime rivals Real Madrid to finish the job.

With tension continuing to build around Real Madrid following another turbulent week off the pitch, lifting the trophy against their biggest rivals would be the perfect statement for Barca supporters.

These matches are rarely calm, and my Barcelona vs. Real Madrid predictions are targeting Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior as a strong value play to land in the referee’s book.

Here are my free betting picks and best bets for today’s El Clásico showdown, kicking off at 3:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Barcelona vs Real Madrid picks and predictions

My Barcelona vs Real Madrid best bet:  Vinicius Junior to be shown a card (+195 at Sports Interaction)

It’s been a difficult week for the Real Madrid players, and that frustration, combined with the usual El Clásico fire, and the chance that Barca win the title, should mean cards.

Real’s Vinicius Junior has been a constant thorn in the side of referees this season. Vini Jr has picked up eight bookings in La Liga and has averaged 1.16 fouls per 90 minutes played this season.

The Brazilian’s petulance in big games is well known at this point, and his record in games against Barcelona is shocking, picking up eight yellow cards in 23 games against his rivals, including their other La Liga meeting back in October.

Jude Bellingham 3+ shots

Barcelona to win

Jude Bellingham has historically performed well against Barcelona, scoring four times in five La Liga games against the Catalans.

He’s averaged 2.63 shots per 90 minutes played this season, but given the occasion and the possibility of Kylian Mbappe starting from the bench, he’s likely to get plenty of chances.

Barcelona has a perfect record at home this season, winning all 17 of their La Liga games at the Camp Nou.

They’ve scored 52 goals and given up just nine, while Real Madrid is giving up an average of a goal per game on the road.
