Barcelona will look to put one hand on the La Liga trophy on Sunday when they host Real Madrid for the fourth El Clasico of 2024-25.

Hansi Flick’s side have a four-point lead atop the table, and their elimination from the Champions League on Tuesday means they’re going to be locked in on claiming the title. Real Madrid must get a win to keep hopes alive of stealing the crown, but Carlo Ancelotti is facing a massive injury crisis in defense.

Find out why Lamine Yamal is the key player to watch in my Barcelona vs. Real Madrid predictions for Sunday, May 11.

Barcelona vs Real Madrid picks and predictions

My Barcelona vs Real Madrid best bet: Yamine Lamal to score or assist (+100 at FanDuel)

The Copa del Rey final two weeks ago saw Barcelona and Real Madrid deadlocked after 90 minutes, with the Catalans getting a winner just four minutes before the end of extra time.

However, Barcelona were only in the position to do so thanks to Yamine Lamal.

The 17-year-old continues to live up to the hype and show why he’s considered the heir apparent to Lionel Messi. He created the first goal from Pedri with a terrific lay-off to the top of the box, and it was his long ball over the top to Ferran Torres in the 84th minute that led to the equalizing goal.

Sunday’s match against Real Madrid gives Yamal the chance of finding a goal or assist in all four El Clasico showdowns this season. He notched Barcelona’s first goal in the 5-2 thrashing of Real Madrid in January’s Super Cup match, and the winger also scored in their 4-0 win at the Bernabeu back in October.

To do so, Yamal simply needs to take advantage of a Real Madrid back line that is in even worse shape than it was two weeks ago. Antonio Rudiger is suspended and injured, and he’s a key reason why Barcelona didn’t win the Copa del Rey final in regulation.

Rudiger is one of five defenders, including Eder Militao and David Alaba, who are going to miss out on the match for Real Madrid. The makeshift back line will include Aurelien Tchouameni, who is often caught out of position when playing at center back. It may also see Fede Valverde shift into a right-back position, which would remove his playmaking ability from the midfield.

This should open things up for Yamal and Raphinha to cause serious problems, with Pedri pulling the strings. Both of Real Madrid’s fullbacks will be overmatched, and the two wide players like to find one another when cutting inside near the box.

FanDuel has Yamal priced at even money to be involved in a goal, providing incredible value. The same prop is priced at bet365 for -150, which is closer to where it should be.

Given Yamal's form and how much expected value there is with this play, I recommend it as a two-unit bet for any price below -120.

Barcelona vs Real Madrid same-game parlay (SGP)

Lamine Yamal to score or assist

Barcelona -1.5

Both teams to score - Yes

The absence of so many defenders for Real Madrid means this could get ugly in a hurry.

Barcelona know they can all but clinch the title with a victory on Sunday, and Los Blancos will need a win of their own in order to keep their title hopes alive. That means they’ll likely throw bodies forward, allowing Barcelona’s speed and lethality in attack to score quite a few goals.

While I expect Barcelona to control this match and win by multiple goals, that doesn’t mean Real Madrid won’t score. Barcelona's dangerous high line will allow the likes of Mbappe and Vinicius Jr. to get in behind with pace, and the absence of Jules Kounde will be felt.
