$5000 bankroll - looking to double - looking for feedback

Relatively new to this site...I have been following different players the past four months, I am starting this thread for a few different reasons, the main one of course being making money, the second and this reason is very important to me, is to learn more about handicapping, although I consider myself an okay player, I admit I don't know much about different strategies, many of the different strategies I have learned have mainly come from reading different threads here.
Over the past several months, I have built myself a bit of a bankroll through different means, of which I want to use 5000$ for this purpose. I will be making plays based on the size of my bankroll, mainly sticking to 1, 2 or 3 % plays.
I would really like active feedback from other players concerning my plays, and ways for me to improve on what i am doing.

betting too many games and wagering too little money.  bet less and bigger on games you really like.  if you are a good capper you will make $5000 in no time.

You can't win over the long run betting like that. Consider 1st that you need to win over 60% of the time just to cover the 'vig'. I would go with greyhound racing.
