Federer vs whoever on sunday

Winning on sunday is huge for Fed in that, not only will it be #17 and break Sampras' record, he will re-assume #1 in world which means Nadal and Djokovic will have to face off in the semi's at the USOpen.  Alot easier to win majors when you only have to go through 1 of those guys, rather than 2.  But lets be serious...Federer only wins majors when someone knocks Nadal off for him.  This will be his 3rd straight major he won b/c someone knocked off Rafa for him.  It's been 5 years since Federer beat Nadal at a major - '07 Wimby.

There is too much at stake for Roger to be denied on sunday.  Doesnt matter who he plays.

I have to check the weather forecast.  If the roof is going to be closed again, Roger will be a large favorite.  The roof being closed was massive for him today - much quicker conditions.  Too bad for Novak they didnt play the 2nd match of the day - the roof is now open.

I'm guessing Federer -200 vs Murray and -280 vs Tsonga.  I will wait for match time to see if the roof will be closed for the final.  That will dictate the amount of my wager.

this is coming from the guy who is saying a player has come down to earth when they still have and are the favorite to win 2 majors in a year

No. He's right. Djoko isn't the runaway train that he was being made out to be. IF he can avoid injuries and play at this level for two or three more years, the talk would be justified. (Though he'd still be far short of 16). Winning one major in a year at the absolute peak of your career isn't domination. (So he almost needs the US)

There's no automatic 2 v 3 seeding, if there were, it would have been Fed on the Nadal side at Wimbly. Even if that were true, ratings can change over the Summer hardcourt season. And pretty sure it's whoMever.

who said 16??? gridiron said 10.5. No shit he wasn't gonna dominate like he did last year. Last year was a historic year, a blind monkey could have told you that, But to say he has cooled off when he has a chance at 2 in a year is redic, 2 majors in 1 year is a fantastic year

It really wasn't. It's happened several times in the past decade. How is that historic?? And again, ONE major at the peak of your career when you're the presumptive world #1 is a disappointing year.......certainly not FANTASTIC......a mute monkey could sign you that information.

lol so he ties your boy if he wins the us open, i think your the one who needs to calm down and stop comparing him to federer he is the GOAT in terms on grand slam finals

The amount of pressure on Murray to win a Wimbledon final is...immense.  So immense that it cant be overstated or understood by some of the simple minds on this board.

Federer has been here and done that a half dozen times.  This is nothing new to him.  Murray's nails will be nonexistent by the time this match even starts.
