Mich. St at Oregon

Greetings all, just found this nice forum. Consider myself a rookie. You won't get any "locks", "sure bets", or "easy money" from me. I'm not that green! 

Looking at the Mich St @ Oregon matchup. Golden Nugget opened with Ducks -13. Should be an intresting contest. Early season home game for the Ducks has me leaning their way. Expect spread to rise. Thoughts?

I don't expect the spread to rise. You might be right liking the ducks, but you need to imagine what the general public thinks about the game. Michigan st went 13-1 last year and beat Stanford who won the pac-12 and beat oregon. That's not sharp analysis on my part lol, but many bettors take a simple approach like that.

This game scares me a little. Ducks have gained 30+ pounds this season across the line to get ready specifically for this game. I guess they are tired of getting pushed around. That line will drop in favor of Michigan St IMO. Possibly most physical game for the ducks all season, besides UCLA.

OSU, NEB, and IND put up 24+ points on Mich St last year, I think Oregon can put up more.

Even tho' St. was 4 points away from an undefeated season last year..I like Ore.

Ducks are going to want to make a statement with this game.

i like the seniment on the ducks...if you guys look, mich st. was not that highly regarded early in the season in 2013.   Now, just because they manhandled stanford, with a month to prepare, everyone thinks they are world beaters...

Mich St has lost a lot on D over the offseason.   With Oregon's Mariota as the Heisman favorite and potential #1 draft pick, I think the Ducks will want to TCB at Auzen in week 2.

If this gets to 14.5 or 14, I'll likely make a play on MSU.  Still looking into this matchup, but 14+ is a lot to cover here.  UO needs to be balanced on offense and the returning WR experience is light with the Addison ACL injury.  Even with a highly regarded O-line returning, I don't see UO running over the Spartans D without some decent passing game numbers as well. This part of the matchup is intriguing.  MSU also with solid returnees in the kicking game.  Will try to make UO put together long drives.

if oregon O have any amount of success they will kill michigan st.....I don't trust mstate offense at all 

Even at +14.5 I wouldn't take St..

Oregon's one of those teams that will mess around and still be explosive late in the 4th quarter when they already have a decent lead.

Not like the B10 teams who will smash you in the mouth trying to eat up the clock and protect their lead.

This will be a very interesting game featuring the BIG10 champs on the road at Oregon

This game will pose alot of trouble for MSU. The speed of Oregon is tough to deal with and I see them moving the ball easily in this game. MSU lost alot of good players on D and I think theyll be gassed from the uptempo. Lay the pts

MSU's D is as physical or more physical than Stanford's and the Cardinal have owned Oregon recently

Don't think MSU wins outright, but 14, with that D and an O that returns basically everyone, is too many points

I expect this line to be closer to 8-9 in September

Love Mich St at plus 2 touchdowns.  Like SatNight said, even though their D loses a some good players, they're still gonna put out a good defense and are very physical.  Offense returns almost everyone. Oregon struggled a lot down the stretch last year and I'm not sold on their coach Helfrich.  Don't think this guy can make it at this level.  I give a big coaching advantage to Michigan St.  Think they can actually win this game.

Msu beat no one last yr. Dont be fooled that they ran the table in a weak big 10 last year. mariota was injured 2h of season. he will be healthy and oregon will score at will. Msu in that stanford game got ALOT of breaks as stanford outplayed em for most of the game. Big 10 cannot play with speed and thats oregons game

C'mon bud.. MSU beat every B1G team last year by 10+ including undefeated OSU who was playing for a spot in the NT game

Stanford had a pick 6 and recovered a fumble at their 5 yard line.. MSU dominated that game after the 1st Q

And the big 10 sucks..... lol. MSU is garbage. Im easily throwing down a couple grand on oregon

This matchup obviously comes down to msu defense vs UO offense. I see a lot of you saying that the ducks will be just to fast for the spartans which I believe is B.S. If you watch ohio st play on offense their offenses are very similar to Oregon. Which I believe Urban Meyer has a better offense anyway. Mich St will have no problem going against this offense. Their defense is always stout and good against the run. If you shut down Oregons run game then you have a great chance in beating them.

Who ever said the BIG10 sucks clearly is a moron

Oregon doesn't always do great against a physical defense, but if Oregon catches a lucky bounce and gets an early lead they could win by 50.  If Mich St gets an early lead, they will try to run the clock down IMO.  

Michigan State was unsure of who the quarterback was going to be. They now know. And they have had more than a month to prepare for Oregon. Same coach and coordinators coming back. Not saying MSU will win or cover but they know their identity.

This game scares me a bit with the new LBs for MSU.. usually takes them 4-5 games to get fully in the system (even though we'll be starting 2 RS JRs and a SR).  I expect this to be a pretty high scoring game.. maybe 34-27 Ore?

U can bet this game will be right around the number.I will 6pt tease both sides.I see 14pt leads both both teams with great in game wagering opportunities.
