NBA BREAKDOWN Tuesday 04/12

I will not be doing a 'breakdown' for tomorrow's games, as it's the last day of the regular season.  Majority of tomorrow's games will be 'coin-flips' so not worth wasting time on.  Any plays, will still be posted.  As always, GOOD LUCK!

Bulls @ Knicks +4

These teams have played twice this season with the Knicks winning both games.  The two games took place early in the season, in 2010 still, but either way, Bulls have a ‘double-revenge’ angle in this one.  Both teams are playing excellent ‘ball’ right now with each on a 7-game winning streak.  Knicks don’t have anything to play for though as Sixers lost last night, thus NY has clinched the #6 spot.  Bulls technically are playing for the #1 OVERALL spot in the playoffs, and would need to win-out and have the Spurs lose-out (they play @ LAL later today) to clinch it.  Not sure how realistic this ‘goal’ is though.  Check on Amare’s status for this one as he’s going to try to play.  The O/U’s:  205 O and 207 U.  Obviously the 2 games took place early in the season, and these 2 teams are different now.  Knicks have played 3 straight to the UNDER and Bulls are 3-1 to the UNDER in their last 4.  Leans:  Bulls and PASS on the total.

Grizzlies @ Blazers -5 O/U: 187.5

Both teams are 4-1 in their last 5 games and are playing good ‘ball’ going into the playoffs.  They split the previous 2 meetings this year, both taking place back in 2010.  The winner of this game will end up in the #6 spot, facing either Lakers/Dallas/OkieCity.  Either way, both teams should be motivated in this one.  O/U’s:  194.5 O and 187.5 U.  The teams were very different back then so not sure how much weight these results have here.  Portland is 4-1 to the UNDER in their last 5, while Memphis is 5-1 to the UNDER in their last 6.  Leans:  Grizzlies and UNDER.

Spurs @ Lakers -5.5 O/U: 194

Spurs are riding a 4 game winning streak as the LakeShow are becoming a NoShow down the stretch, losing 5 in a row.  How much do the Lakers care about the #2 seed?  Well, we should find out in this one.  Spurs need one more win to clinch the #1 spot in ALL the playoffs.  This line is interesting, since last time these 2 teams played in LA, Lakers were -3 point favorites.  Both games in San Antonio, Spurs were -3 point home favorites (SA:  +3 on the road).  Hmmm.   As bad as the Lakers have played lately, the book-makers still inflated this one by 2.5 points (2 buckets).  Interesting.  Are we to expect the Lakers to finally ‘show-up’ in this one or is this inflation due to the public’s love with LA?  The O/U’s:  199.5 U; 196 U; 191.5 U.  All 3 games went UNDER this year.  Are we to expect a playoff atmosphere in this one?  Leans:  Spurs and UNDER (both are very weak leans right now)

Thanks for the clarification.... i knew about the 1st tie-breaker in the finals, but i didn't know about the second tie-breaker.... I was just trying to figure that out.....

You might be onto something here.  This line is -7 Lakers now...wow!
