Another misleading thread title that did not reflect the article linked in post #1.

    Quote from that article

New state requirements may close their doors forever, making Mississippi the first abortion-free state.

Misleading thread, just like the circumcision thread . Please do not mislead. The historical facts can't be distorted.

Your statement couldn't be any more backwards thinking if you tried. Most of the time those seeking abortion, do so because they have limited means. Travelling out of state, in many cases isn't feasible, not to mention it shouldn't be necessary. I'm not sure why you're attempting to minimize the actions of the state representatives of Mississippi.

No one takes this cut/paste fool seriously...

you are offering a real life view of the reality  of how things are for those with limited resources...

real life views and reality are not really a strong point of the cut/paste rhetoric foolishness...

Abortion will still take place - in Mississippi.
Before abortion was legal here the women would find cheap quacks who'd use a knitting nedle to.. Sometimes the woman would bleed to death later.
It's fair to think abortion is wrong (I don't know anyone who like it) but the result of making it illegal - is barbarism.

    you are talking historical context...

these theocrats want to circumvent the process and ignore what the voters have said they wanted through the ballot...

these bible beaters are trying to create a "sheppard state"... which merges church and state into a theocratic dictatorship...

I beg to differ. The fact that 50 million unborn babies have been murdered is more along the lines of barbarism.

"Why, why, why, why is it that most of the people who are against abortion are people you wouldn't want to fuck in the first place, huh? Boy, these conservatives are really something, aren't they? They're all in favor of the unborn. They will do anything for the unborn. But once you're born, you're on your own. Pro-life conservatives are obsessed with the fetus from conception to nine months. After that, they don't want to know about you. They don't want to hear from you. No nothing. No neonatal care, no day care, no head start, no school lunch, no food stamps, no welfare, no nothing. If you're preborn, you're fine; if you're preschool, you're fucked.

Conservatives don't give a shit about you until you reach 'military age'. Then they think you are just fine. Just what they've been looking for. Conservatives want live babies so they can raise them to be dead soldiers. Pro-life... pro-life... These people aren't pro-life, they're killing doctors! What kind of pro-life is that? What, they'll do anything they can to save a fetus but if it grows up to be a doctor they just might have to kill it?They're not pro-life. You know what they are? They're anti-woman. Simple as it gets, anti-woman. They don't like them. They don't like women. They believe a woman's primary role is to function as a brood mare for the state."

They believe a woman's primary role is to function as a brood mare for the state."

as to rj's point, a lot of rightwingers are very adamant about abortion.  they justify it, i assume, based on protection for human cells, the fetus or a viable unborn child who obviously can't otherwise protect him/herself.

but a lot of children are born with serious diseases, handicaps, born without parents who can or will take care of them financially and otherwise. a lot of kids don't have basic needs like diapers, food, tools for learning.  these rightwing groups that spend so much time and money on the abortion issue, what do they do to help these kids once they are born?

Lol thank-you for making my point, you just cosigned exactly what I just schooled you on.(yesterday's democrats are today's republicans) You don't know me at all, i never tote any political party line. I mentioned in other threads before in this political forum, that I vote republican in most local elections, because my district is republican dominated.Democrats & Independents don't stand a chance, so I usually vote for the most moderate republican.

So let me get this straight--democrats  controlled the house senate and governorship for 120-130 years after the civil war and did nothing to change the flag yet Haley Barbour is the person you single out as racist(which is what youre insinuating)....you should post a few pics of youre beloved democratic party officials waving the state flag, standing in front of the flag etc etc.....What is funny is you told blatant lies about your state because you didnt think anyone from mississippi would visit this forum.....youre pathetic

i didn't tell any lies about my state, and I proved all of my points to you, but it doesn't matter what i prove to you, you have already been indoctrinated by the 24 hour daily loop of Beck, Limbubba, Hannity, and Salvage. You have been brain washed to the point of no return. Its a waste of time debating with people like you that can't think for themselves.
