Red Wings vs Maple Leafs best bet: Max Domi Over 0.5 points (+115)
Auston Matthews has been on fire with 12 goals in his last 14 games.
Unfortunately, the value of betting Matthews’ offensive props are starting to dry up as the books begin to price him back as an MVP candidate.
However, there’s still plenty of value left in backing his linemates to join in on his offensive success.
Enter Max Domi.
The veteran of the Toronto Maple Leafs has enjoyed sustained ice-time with Matthews since Christmas, and it’s resulted in production for him as well.
Domi has recorded 11 points in his last 14 games, playing alongside Auston Matthews. He’s playing a lot more too, now averaging 17:37, up from the 14:50 he averaged prior to this hot stretch.
As for the Red Wings, they’ve been winning, but the underlying numbers aren’t as rosey. Detroit is a middle of the pack defensive team, ranking 16th in goals against this season, while giving up the 10th most scoring chances and ninth most high-danger chances.
Auston Matthews, Domi, and Bobby McMann have been generating a lot of offense, averaging 4.35 goals scored per minutes, per moneypuck.com, ranking 11th in the NHL among trips to have played 139+ minutes together this season at 5-on-5.
So I’m expecting that trio to produce once again, and Domi going over his 0.5 points total pays a lot better at than Matthews’ market.

Matthews has been a goal scoring machine of late with 12 goals in his last 13 outings. A large reason for this is his willingness to shoot the puck more as he’s averaged 3.6 shots per game since Christmas.
For my final leg, I’ll add the Over on Oliver Ekman-Larsson points prop. The Leafs defenseman has six points in his last five games and is getting top PP time.
