The Boston Bruins will look to continue their climb atop the standings when they welcome the Calgary Flames to TD Garden tonight.

David Pastrnak had another big game in the Boston Bruins’ final contest ahead of All-Star weekend as he potted two goals and an assist in a 6-2 win against the Flyers back on January 27.
Pastrnak skates into tonight’s matchup with 33 goals and 72 points in just 49 games, ranking third in both categories league-wide. The Bruins sniper has recorded multiple points in six of his last eight contests and I’ll be looking for him to put up at least two points against the Calgary Flames tonight.
Pastrnak and the Bruins shouldn’t have much trouble running up the score against the Flames, who have dropped four of their last five contests while allowing 4.00 GAPG across those four defeats.
Jacob Markstrom, Calgary’s likely starter tonight, has given up at least four goals in two of his last three outings and three-plus goals in four of his last seven starts.To Markstrom’s credit, he was actually quite solid in January with a .931 save percentage over eight starts, but I don’t see him or the Flames defense slowing down a Bruins offense that ranks fifth in the NHL with 3.49 GPG.
My best bet: David Pastrnak Over 1.5 points (+115 at SIA)

There’s no multi-point wager available for tonight’s same-game parlay, so we’ll lock in Pastrnak for a goal instead. Pastrnak found the back of the net 11 times in 14 games last month and has found the back of the net in four of his last five outings.
I’ll also look for Brad Marchand to score, as the Bruins captain tied Pastrnak for the team lead in goals in January, also notching 11. Although Marchand didn't score in Boston’s last game, he had five tallies across his four previous contests.
We'll wrap up tonight's SGP by taking Under 6.5 goals, mostly by virtue of a Bruins defense that has allowed two goals or fewer in five of their last seven contests.

The Bruins skate into tonight’s matchup as -195 home favorites with the total set at 6 goals. I like the hosts to cruise to victory against the Flames while cashing the Under.
Boston has the edge in every category in this matchup as the B’s rank fifth in the league offensively (3.49 GPG), fourth defensively (2.59 GAPG), and second in terms of goaltending (.919 SV%). The Bruins also boast two of the hottest scorers in hockey in Pastrnak and Marchand — two of eight players in the NHL who notched at least 10 goals in January.
Jeremy Swayman should also play a big factor for the Bruins tonight, as the All-Star has given up just five total goals over his last four games while holding opponents to two goals or fewer in five of his last six starts.
Meanwhile, the Flames offense has sputtered with just 10 total goals over their last five games and will likely be at a deficit without Elias Lindholm — the club’s fourth-leading point-getter — who was shipped off to the Canucks last week.
Swayman and the Bruins defense should keep this game relatively low-scoring, as Boston has cashed the Under in three of its last four contests while also holding opponents to two goals or fewer in three of the last four.
The Under is 4-3 in Calgary’s last seven games, but the Flames have scored more than two goals in only four of those contests.
