Devils vs Lightning prediction

Devils vs Lightning Best bet: Arseny Gritsyuk Over 0.5 points (+105)

Arseny Gritsyuk started his rookie campaign on the fourth line, playing as little as nine minutes in a game. He slowly but surely earned more opportunities and passed every test he’s been given.

The New Jersey Devils winger has logged at least 16 minutes of ice time in three of the past four after clearing that mark just once through his first 12 games.

He’s responded with a spike in production, hitting the scoresheet three times while generating 13 scoring opportunities.

Gritsyuk has impressed head coach Sheldon Keefe so much that he’s now been promoted to the top line alongside Nico Hischier and Jesper Bratt – pretty good running mates.

Given his new role on the No. 1 line and the caliber of players he’s skating with, Gritsyuk should get a healthy chunk of ice and spend plenty of time in the offensive zone.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have allowed more than three goals per game and are dealing with an abundance of injuries. This is not a bad matchup.

Devils vs Lightning same-game parlay

Brayden Point’s SOG output was low to start the year, but it's picking up now. He’s recorded multiple shots in six of his past eight, with the misses coming against Florida and Vegas – two of the best shot suppression teams in the NHL.

The Devils are missing a handful of key players, and their defensive metrics are suffering as a result. They’ve allowed more than 30 shots per game over the last 10 and killed off only 72.7% of penalties. Point is long overdue for some goals, and he should have a few chances to cash in.
