The Montreal Canadiens will visit the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden tonight, December 13, marking the second meeting between these two after the Rangers took a 4-3 nailbiter at the Bell Centre in October.

My Canadiens vs. Rangers predictions and NHL picks suggest a different result this time around, given the Habs' strong track record away from home, coupled with the Rangers' well-documented struggles on home ice.

Canadiens vs Rangers best bet: Canadiens moneyline (+115)

For a reason that baffles me, the Montreal Canadiens are not the favorite entering tonight's matchup. They boast an encouraging 9-3-2 record on the road, while the New York Rangers have probably dreaded coming back from a road trip with their 3-8-3 record on home ice.

New York enters tonight's matchup having dropped three straight, while Montreal secured a massive road win against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday.

The Habs have just one regulation loss on the road since October 23, and their road success has been a determining factor to the team's success thus far this season.

Canadiens vs Rangers same-game parlay

Both Canadiens player assist props have been among the most consistent NHL props over the last few weeks. Captain Nick Suzuki has registered at least a helper in nine of his previous 10 games, ranking ninth in the NHL with 26 on the season.

Rookie phenom Ivan Demidov has recorded a helper in five consecutive games, finding some serious chemistry on the second line alongside Juraj Slafkovsky and fellow rookie Oliver Kapanen.

Additionally, both he and Suzuki are on the team's top power-play unit, which has operated at an impressive 25.6% clip, good for fifth in the league.
