Jackson Blake was all over the ice in Game 1, recording nine shot attempts and six scoring chances while leading Carolina Hurricanes forwards in ice time.
He didn't find the scoresheet, but my Canadiens vs. Hurricanes props and NHL picks are backing Blake to produce Saturday night.
Be sure to read our Canadiens vs. Hurricanes predictions for May 23.
Best Canadiens vs Hurricanes props for Game 2
| Player | Pick | |
|---|---|---|
| Over 0.5 points | -130 | |
| Over 1.5 blocks | -175 | |
| Over 0.5 points | -130 |

Game 2 Prop #1: Jackson Blake Over 0.5 points (-130)
Jackson Blake did everything but find the scoresheet in Game 1. He posted game-highs in attempts (nine), chances (six), and high-danger chances (four) while helping the Carolina Hurricanes dominate the run of play.
Those kinds of outputs have become the norm against the Montreal Canadiens. Blake has attempted at least seven shots in three consecutive meetings with Montreal, all of which have come over the last two months.
Blake has picked up a point in eight of his last 10 home games. I see him getting right back on the scoresheet, and like Over 0.5 points up to -150.
Game 2 Prop #2: Lane Hutson Over 1.5 blocked shots (-175)
The Hurricanes are an elite shot-generating team, and Lane Hutson plays more minutes than anybody on the Canadiens. That leads to a lot of shot attempts heading towards Montreal's net with Hutson on the ice.
We saw that in Game 1, with the Canadiens allowing 36 shot attempts during Hutson's minutes. Nobody on either team was on for more shot attempts against.
Hutson predictably got in the way of a few, picking up five blocked shots. That marks the third consecutive head-to-head meeting he has blocked at least three shots. I like the Over on 1.5 blocks up to -200.
Game 2 Prop #3: Nikolaj Ehlers Over 0.5 points (-130)
The Hurricanes dominated Nikolaj Ehlers' 5-on-5 minutes, winning the shot attempt battle 17-3.
His line was on the ice for seven offensive zone starts during 5-on-5 play, most on the team. A line centered by Jordan Staal is generally associated with defense but they were given ideal offensive deployment, and their underlying process was excellent. That should translate to results.
Ehlers hasn't gone more than two straight games without a point since mid-January, and I don't see that happening tonight. Back him to hit the scoresheet up to -150.
