Let’s be honest. If your NFL Survivor Pool entry is still alive in Week 15, you should probably be writing this weekly piece instead of me.

I will say, my Week 14 survivor suggestions were golden, and I avoided flops from Tampa Bay, Baltimore, and Cleveland. That’s more than a lot of poolies can preach after ample entries went down in flames this past weekend.

We’re into the nitty-gritty, but there are several big favorites on the board, so hopefully you still have one of those teams available.

Here is my best NFL Survivor Pool pick for Week 15 and the “safest” selection, according to the NFL odds.

Best survivor pool bets for Week 15

  • Chiefs Chicago Bears
  • Chiefs Seattle Seahawks

Chiefs My pick: Chicago Bears

Opponent: vs. Cleveland Browns

Moneyline odds: -400 (80% implied win probability)

The Chicago Bears return to the Windy City after back-to-back roadies against Philadelphia and Green Bay the past two weeks.

Chicago is laying more than a touchdown to the Cleveland Browns, who are coming off a bad loss to the Titans last weekend.

While rookie QB Shadeur Sanders did win his first road start at Las Vegas in Week 12, this trip to Soldier Field is a more imposing environment.

The Chicago faithful will be noisy and compound injuries to the Cleveland offensive line, namely, starting center Ethan Pocic (out). Sanders' calls and counts will get drowned out, and I expect plenty of false starts, blown protection, and bad snaps.

On top of that, Sanders has been babied by some soft zone coverages in his three starts. He meets a man-heavy scheme from the Bears, who top the NFL in interceptions.

The Browns’ pass rush is always disruptive, but Myles Garrett is missing some supporting staff, and Chicago’s pass protection is among the best in the league.

This is a must-win for the Bears, who slipped from No. 1 to No. 7 after last week’s loss in Wisconsin. Beyond this game, Chicago has much tougher spots versus Green Bay, at San Francisco, and a finale with Detroit.

Chiefs Safest pick: Seattle Seahawks

Opponent: vs. Indianapolis Colts

Moneyline odds: -1150 (92% implied win probability)

Even before Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones went down with an Achilles tear, the Seattle Seahawks were nearly a touchdown favorite at home in Week 15.

Now, with Indy digging up the corpse of Philip Rivers to possibly start at QB Sunday, the Seahawks are flirting with two touchdowns and are the “safest” survivor pick for the second straight week.

Whoever is under center for Indianapolis faces one of the most disruptive defenses in the league, with the Seahawks producing plenty of pass pressure with just a four-man rush. Seattle has allowed nine total points the past two games, and there’s a good shot they don’t add much to that tally in the rain at Lumen Field this weekend.

If you still have the Seahawks as a survivor option, they do present stronger future value in the final three weeks of the schedule. After kicking the shit out of the Colts, they play the Rams on Thursday Night Football, then travel to Carolina and San Francisco.
