The final Monday Night Football game of the 2025 season sends the Los Angeles Rams to Mercedes-Benz Stadium to face the Atlanta Falcons in Week 17.

L.A. has a mini-bye to shake off the crushing collapse in Seattle on Thursday, but travels for the second straight week and the fourth time in the past five games.

I look into the opening odds and early movement as well as give my early Rams vs. Falcons predictions and NFL picks below.

Rams vs Falcons predictions

Here are our early thoughts on the spread and total for this week’s game. We will have a full game preview (with a best bet and SGP) later in the week.

Early MNF spread pick: Falcons +8

-110 at bet365

The Los Angeles Rams are already in the postseason, but as of this writing, they're still pushing for the NFC West crown and the top seed in the conference. In order to get there, L.A. needs Seattle and San Francisco to stumble.

The playoff path will be much clearer on Monday night, but with those divisional foes set as favorites in Week 16, the Rams’ motivations could be mixed, and head coach Sean McVay won’t hesitate to rest starters if there’s nothing to play for.

And speaking of having nothing to play for...

The Atlanta Falcons aren’t going to the tournament, but continue to battle with veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins under center. Atlanta has won back-to-back road games, and Monday will be just its second homestand in the past six weeks.

Los Angeles is a much stiffer test defensively than the Falcons’ recent foes, but this team has a bevvy of offensive weapons, especially with the return of wideout Drake London, and head coach Raheem Morris could be coaching for his job on MNF.

This spread opened Atlanta +7.5 and jumped to +8, which is an underrated key number in football betting. I like the fight in the Falcons enough to take the pile of points with the home side.

Early MNF total pick: Over 49.5

-110 at bet365

Morris and McVay know each other very well, going back to their Super Bowl-winning ways in Los Angeles. I think we’ll see counters to counters, and I like the Over given the offensive talent on the field and fast indoor track in Atlanta.

The Falcons have great balance in this playbook, with Cousins showing flashes of his past form and the rushing game getting tremendous production from Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier

The Rams have shown a soft spot in the secondary and allowed some big passing plays in the second half of the schedule. L.A. buckled for more than 400 yards in the loss to the Seahawks, who landed one-two punches on the ground and through the air.

Atlanta’s defense has been quietly good for most of the year, but it hasn’t faced many quarterbacks like Matthew Stafford along the way. The Falcons got torched for 37 points against Seattle at home a few weeks back and have allowed 27+ points in five of their previous seven outings.
