The 2026 Pro Bowl will be the first time it's held in the host city during the week leading up to the Super Bowl.

This is the fourth straight year it will feature a 7-on-7 flag football game and skill contests, with a combined score between the AFC and NFC.

My Pro Bowl predictions and NFL picks have the NFC coming out on top February 3.

Pro Bowl Flag Football predictions

Side: NFC -1.5 (-110 at BetMGM)

In 7-on-7 football, it boils down to which team has the better quarterbacks and receivers who can separate. The NFC has the advantage at QB with Dak Prescott, Jared Goff, and Jalen Hurts.

The AFC has the best overall passer in Joe Burrow, but also has a 41-year-old Joe Flacco and rookie Shedeur Sanders, who was controversially named to the team despite ranking near the bottom of the league in every passing category.

The NFC also has better WRs with Puka Nakua, CeeDee Lamb, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and George Pickens, who can work all three levels and have elite YAC ability.

Total: Over 110.5 (-110 at BetMGM)

While I'm fading the AFC due to Flacco and Sanders, their tendency to throw picks will lead to points coming back the other way.

The last two years had combined scores with the skill contests. In the 2024 Pro Bowl, the NFC won 64-59 despite being outscored 50-34 in the flag football contest. Last year, the NFC won 76-63, with a 56-50 edge in flag football.

In those years, flag football consisted of four 12-minute quarters, while this year it will be two 20-minute halves. Even adjusting for the shorter game, this total is too low. Especially since it will be easier to get into an offensive flow with 20 minutes of straight play.
