Packers vs Giants Predictions - Early Picks & Odds for Week 11

Even though the Packers are scuffling, the Giants are in their own brand of turmoil, and the 7.5-point spread isn't prohibitive. More appealing, though, is the Under on 43.5.

The Green Bay Packers are reeling after their offense went MIA for a second straight week, but, as the New York Giants can tell them, it could be worse.

New York fired head coach Brian Daboll on Monday, and Jaxson Dart is in the concussion protocol ahead of this Week 11 clash with Green Bay, so my Packers vs Giants predictions expect Jordan Love & Co. to find a nice bounce-back spot.

Packers vs Giants predictions

Here are our early thoughts on the spread and total for this week’s game. We will have a full game preview (with a best bet and SGP) later in the week.

Early Packers vs Giants spread pick: Packers -7.5

There’s no way to sugarcoat the lack of production from this Green Bay Packers offense over the past two weeks. The Packers were held scoreless until the 5:49 mark in the fourth quarter on MNF, and that followed a 16-13 loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 9, where the offense again didn’t find the end zone until the closing minutes.

And yet, the New York Giants situation gives me too much pause to take the points here, even with Green Bay posting a 3-6 against-the-spread mark. The Giants will turn to Russell Wilson if Dart has to sit, and the hosts' weapons are already limited after losing Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo for the season.

Then there’s the turmoil of the coaching change to consider, too.

Yes, it’s a short week for the Packers, but the urgency is real after dropping to 5-3-1. Though Tucker Kraft’s injury was a gut punch, the visitors still have plenty of weapons to move the ball against a New York team that’s lost four straight, allowing 129 points in that span.

The Green Bay defense has been doing its job, including a stellar effort on Monday to shut down Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley. Now it’s time for the offense to climb out of its funk.

Early Packers vs Giants total pick: Under 43.5

The Packers’ past two contests have been snoozefests for neutrals, so there’s surely a limit to how much they can flip the switch here, even with the New York defense giving up 383 yards per game, the fourth-worst mark in the NFL. With Jordan Love looking out of sorts, Green Bay has scored 20 total points over the last two games.

Likewise, I see Micah Parsons & Co. making life miserable for the Giants, especially if the hosts take the cautious approach with Dart.

The Packers are giving up just 91.8 rushing yards per game, sixth-fewest in the league, and that will heap extra pressure on a New York passing attack that’s been sluggish with Wilson under center.

The Under is 6-3-1 in Green Bay’s past 10 outings, and that’s where I’m leaning for Sunday’s showdown.

And with the Giants boasting one of the NFL’s worst run defenses, Josh Jacobs will be a major factor, and that adds up to some long, gritty drives.

I have my doubts about both offenses, so the Under looks like good value, even at a relatively low number.
