The Minnesota Vikings host the Detroit Lions in an NFC North clash on Christmas Day.

The Lions need to win to keep their playoff hopes alive, and they'll have a big quarterback advantage in this game with Jared Goff taking on rookie Max Brosmer.

See how that factors into my Lions vs. Vikings predictions and same-game parlay picks for Thursday, December 25.

Our best Lions vs Vikings SGP for Week 17

This is a must-win game for the Detroit Lions, who lost a close contest to Pittsburgh last week. Fortunately, they get to play the Minnesota Vikings, who have already been eliminated from the playoffs and will have undrafted rookie Max Brosmer at quarterback.

Brosmer struggled when he previously started in Week 12, and his supporting cast is hurting. Pro Bowl offensive linemen Christian Darrisaw and Ryan Kelly are sidelined, while running backs Aaron Jones and Jordan Mason are dealing with ankle injuries.

This banged-up Vikings offense won't be able to take advantage of a vulnerable Lions defense, which is why I'm backing the visitors to get the win.

Jahmyr Gibbs has been bottled up in recent weeks, but is still second in the NFL with 17 touchdowns. He has punched the ball into the end zone in all eight of Detroit's wins, which makes this a perfect parlay piece with Lions moneyline.

The Lions have struggled to find running room lately, so they'll need to move the ball through the air. Jared Goff has thrown for more than 250 yards in eight straight games, including a 284-yard performance against Minnesota in Week 9.

Jameson Williams has logged 70+ receiving yards in six of his last seven games. He averaged 4.8 targets per game in his first 11 contests this year but that number has surged to 9.5 in four games since tight end Sam LaPorta hit the IR.
