We could have an NFC Championship Game preview on our hands when the Philadelphia Eagles host the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football.

The Birds grinded out a 10-7 win at Lambeau Field on Monday night in their return from the bye, while the Lions bounced back with a road win against Washington.

There are plenty of player props to choose from for this matchup, and I’m fading Saquon Barkley and the Eagles' passing defense, while also targeting a Philadelphia wideout.

Here are my Lions vs. Eagles player props and NFL picks for November 16.

Lions vs Eagles SNF props

Player Pick FanDuel
Eagles Saquon Barkley Under 70.5 rushing yards  -114
Lions Jared Goff Under 0.5 interceptions -154
Eagles DeVonta Smith  Over 57.5 receiving yards -114

Saquon Barkley Under 70.5 rushing yards (-114)

After an MVP-caliber campaign and a Super Bowl ring in his first season with the Philadelphia Eagles, Saquon Barkley has struggled this season. He’s only had one 100-yard game, coming a few weeks ago against the Giants, and went over 60 yards just one other time, posting 88 yards against the Chiefs back in Week 2.

Barkley and the Birds are now going up against one of the best rushing defenses in the league. The Detroit Lions have allowed 94.3 rushing yards per game, good for the eighth-lowest in the NFL.

Only two running backs have eclipsed 70 yards against the Lions this season. Quinshon Judkins ran for 82 yards on 21 carries back in Week 4, and Aaron Jones got 78 yards on nine carries in Week 9.

Detroit should hold Barkley in check on Sunday Night Football.

Jared Goff Under 0.5 interceptions (-154)

The Eagles' defense is one of their strong suits, but they haven’t picked off many passes this season. After recording an interception in Weeks 2 through 4 against Patrick Mahomes, Matthew Stafford, and Baker Mayfield, they’ve only had two against Carson Wentz since then.

Jared Goff has been taking care of the football this season. He threw an interception in three of nine games thus far, but none in the last two weeks.

The Lions should lean on their running game this week in Philadelphia while allowing Goff to play it safer in the passing game.

DeVonta Smith Over 57.5 receiving yards (-114)

Much has been made of A.J. Brown’s lack of targets in the Philadelphia offense, and it’s been DeVonta Smith getting the bulk of the share. He’s led the team in targets in three straight games and four of the last five, with tight end Dallas Goedert topping him back in Week 6.

Smith has seen his results improve in recent weeks. He’s had 69, 84, and 183 receiving yards in the last three contests, and had 114 at home against the Broncos two weeks before that 183-yard performance.

The speedy Smith will once again get his fair share of targets at home and make the most of them against Detroit.
