What’s the Over/Under on times the broadcast plays "99 Luftballons" when the Atlanta Falcons face the Indianapolis Colts in Berlin, Germany on Sunday morning? I’d have to think the Over 0.5 times is carrying some heavy juice.

As for the odds of this non-conference clash, Indianapolis is a sizable neutral-site favorite over Atlanta despite coming off a rough loss in Week 9.

Here are my early Falcons vs. Colts predictions and NFL picks for November 9.

Falcons vs Colts predictions

Here are our early thoughts on the spread and total for this week’s game. We will have a full game preview (with a best bet and SGP) later in the week.

Early Falcons vs Colts spread pick: Atlanta +6.5

We’re seeing this spread shrink on Monday morning, with some sportsbooks moving down to the key number of Indianapolis Colts -6. If you like the Atlanta Falcons, get the half-point hook on this important spread.

The Falcons had a strange game against the New England Patriots in Week 9, with defense and takeaways keeping Atlanta within striking distance. The offense couldn’t get the run going, but Michael Pennix Jr. and Drake London were enough, combining for 118 yards and three touchdowns in a 24-23 road loss.

Indianapolis had a very sloppy loss at Pittsburgh, with six turnovers. Indy still amassed 368 yards and 26 first downs but killed drives with those giveaways.

If this game were in Lucas Oil Stadium, I could get behind Indianapolis as a fave, but this is too many points to lay on a weird away setting in Week 10.

Early Falcons vs Colts total pick: Under 48.5

-110 at FanDuel

Both teams have lived out of suitcases in the past month. This will be back-to-back travel games for the Falcons and Colts, and their third away game in the past four weeks. They could both be a little worse for wear when things kick off at 9:30 a.m. ET on Sunday.

Both teams want to anchor their offense in the run. The Colts fuel their play-action playbook with plenty of Jonathan Taylor, and Atlanta boasts a two-headed beast at RB with Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier.

Falcons’ offensive coordinator Zac Robinson has been criticized for the predictability of his offense. Atlanta looked a little more dangerous with Pennix back under center Sunday after bad starts from backup Kirk Cousins, but this attack still ranks 24th in EPA per play.

Atlanta’s defense is the key to this Under. The Falcons play a “bend but don’t break” style, with zone-heavy schemes keeping everything in front of it. Atlanta doesn’t give up many big plays and rates among the league elite in pass defense.

This total seems too tall considering the circumstances and teams involved. Olympic Stadium in Berlin is an outdoor venue with a partial roof that covers the stands but not the field, making this an outdoor game on grass for two indoor teams. Nothing like waking up early to cheer on an Under.
