Deebo Samuel has been ruled out for the Washington Commanders' clash against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 7.
The wide receiver had been playing through a nagging heel injury for the last couple of weeks, but he's been limited in practice and won't be able to play on Sunday.
I break down the Deebo Samuel odds for Commanders vs. Cowboys, and let you know how you should bet now that we know he's not suiting up.

Deebo Samuel's season-to-date performance
Samuel leads the Commanders in targets (43), receptions (34), and receiving yards (315) by a wide margin.
Samuel has been questionable with the same injury in each of the last two games but played through the pain. He reeled in eight catches for a team-high 96 yards in Week 5. However he finished with just four catches for 15 yards in Monday night's loss to the Bears and looked less than 100%.
Who do I bet on if Deebo Samuel doesn't play?
Washington opened as 1.5-point favorites on Tuesday, but that line has flipped to Dallas -1.5. That makes sense since the Cowboys' biggest weakness is their pass defense (32nd in defensive dropback EPA), and the Commanders might not be able to take advantage with their WR corps decimated by injuries.
With No. 1 WR Terry McLaurin missing his fourth-straight game and No. 3 WR Noah Brown on the IR, the loss of Samuel would be huge. Sophomore Luke McCaffrey has seen an elevated role and will be joined by veteran Chris Moore and speedy rookie Jaylin Lane in three-wide receiver sets.
Moore hauled in three of five targets for 46 yards last week, and his receiving yards total for Week 7 is 31.5. That looks ripe for the picking against a struggling Cowboys secondary that is missing corner Trevon Diggs.
Dallas is also last in the NFL in receiving yards allowed to opposing running backs. With Samuels out, Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels might throw more to his backs, and Jeremy McNichols caught three passes for 30 yards last week. The Over 1.5 receptions for McNichols is -140 while the O/U on his receiving yards is at 11.5.
