With the NFC East suddenly in flux, the Dallas Cowboys can muddy the standings even further in Sunday’s visit to the Carolina Panthers.

Dak Prescott has this Cowboys offense playing all the right notes, and after a four-touchdown effort against the Jets, my Cowboys vs. Panthers predictions expect Dak to ball out again in this game.

Read on for my NFL picks for today's clash, as Carolina tries to stay unbeaten at home.

Cowboys vs Panthers prediction

Cowboys vs Panthers Best bet: Dak Prescott Over 247.5 passing yards (-114)

With CeeDee Lamb on the sidelines and Micah Parsons in Green Bay, the Cowboys are asking more than ever from Dak Prescott – and he’s responded with MVP-level play.

The Dallas Cowboys offense is humming, and Prescott sits second in the NFL in passing yards through five weeks.

There will be tougher tests ahead, but Sunday’s battle with the Carolina Panthers isn’t likely to be one of them.

Carolina has struggled to get pressure on opposing quarterbacks this season – ranking last in the league in sacks per game – and that should give Dak plenty of runway to nail the Over on this passing yards prop.

He’s gone past this number in three of his last four games, hitting the 300-yard mark in two of those outings. Even without Lamb, Prescott has shown he can slice and dice defenses if he gets a clean pocket, and he’s still got George Pickens and Jake Ferguson to create mismatches, as well as last week’s breakout receiver Ryan Flournoy.

The Panthers gave up 256 passing yards and three TDs through the air against Tua Tagovailoa in Week 5, and the Cowboys boast a far more relentless offense than Miami.

With Dallas scheming up the second-most pass plays per game in the NFL (40), and with Javonte Williams keeping the hosts off-balance as a rushing threat, look for the visitors to go after the Carolina secondary.

Cowboys vs Panthers same-game parlay

A big day for Dak likely means some highlight plays from George Pickens, so I’ll add the anytime TD prop for Prescott’s current No.1 receiver.

Pickens has found the end zone in four straight contests, and he’ll be a major beneficiary if the Panthers can’t generate a pass rush.

Rico Dowdle also figures to have a key role against his old team, and I like him to find pay dirt, too. Dowdle rushed for 206 yards and a touchdown last weekend, and he should be Carolina’s Plan A in the red zone.

Cowboys vs Panthers SGP

  • Dak Prescott Over 247.5 passing yards
  • George Pickens anytime touchdown
  • Rico Dowdle anytime touchdown

Our big-ticket SGP: Javonte joins the party!

With Miles Sanders ruled out for the year, Javonte Williams is going to be a workhorse again on Sunday, and I like the Over on this rushing and receiving combo.

He’s gone past this number in three of his past four games, including 135 rushing yards in Week 5, and he could get 20+ touches this weekend.

Cowboys vs Panthers SGP

  • Dak Prescott Over 247.5 passing yards
  • George Pickens anytime touchdown
  • Rico Dowdle anytime touchdown
  • Javonte Williams Over 94.5 rushing + receiving yards

Cowboys vs Panthers game predictions

Cowboys vs Panthers moneyline prediction

The Cowboys are worthy road favorites, and they’ve won the past three matchups against the Panthers, including a 30-14 victory in Carolina last December, where backup Cooper Rush outplayed Bryce Young.

While the Panthers can point to a pair of home wins already this year, they went 4-8 against the NFC last season, and I don’t see their defense getting enough pressure on Prescott here.

Cowboys vs Panthers spread prediction

The numbers point to laying the points with Dallas. The Cowboys are 6-3 ATS in their last nine games and 5-2 ATS in the past seven meetings between these teams.

It took Carolina almost two full quarters to wake up last weekend against the Miami Dolphins, and the hosts will be left in the dust by this Dallas offense if they stumble out of the gate.

Cowboys vs Panthers Over/Under prediction

Neither defense has covered itself in glory so far this season, so we could have a shootout on tap on Sunday. The Cowboys have scored 37+ points in three of their last four outings, while the Over is 7-3 in the Panthers’ past 10 contests.

It’s hard to consider the Under on this line when Dallas is piling up a league-best 406.6 yards per game this year and giving up a league-worst 412 yards per game.

Cowboys vs Panthers odds

  • Spread: Cowboys -3 | Panthers +3
  • Moneyline: Cowboys -164 | Panthers +138
  • Over/Under: Over 49.5 | Under 49.5
