The Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears have been getting tormented on defense, which is why I'm expecting a high-scoring game when they clash in Week 3.
That has me backing a trio of offensive playmakers, along with betting on the total in my best Cowboys vs. Bears predictions and NFL picks for Sunday, September 21.

The Dallas Cowboys had one of the worst defenses in the league last year, and trading away Micah Parsons has made them even worse.
They are 30th in the league in defensive EPA while ranking 31st in defensive dropback EPA. Meanwhile, the Chicago Bears are 29th in defensive EPA and 31st in defensive dropback success rate.
I'm expecting Dak Prescott to take advantage of the Bears' terrible pass defense. The Cowboys pivot ranks third in the league in passing grade per PFF, and he is fresh off a 361-yard performance against the Giants.
Prescott's favorite target is three-time All-Pro CeeDee Lamb. The star wideout racked up 110 receiving yards against the Eagles’ stingy pass defense in Week 1 before reeling in nine catches for 112 yards last week.
Lamb will gain separation against a banged-up Chicago secondary that is missing its top two corners (Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon), as well as key backup Jaylon Jones.
The Cowboys are also missing one of their best CBs in DaRon Bland, who is sidelined by a foot injury. That's music to the ears of Bears WR Rome Odunze, who looks poised for a breakout year after being taken with the ninth pick in the 2024 draft.
Odunze was limited to 37 receiving yards in Week 1 but saw a team-high nine targets. He hauled in seven of 11 targets for 128 yards and two scores last week, and he will be Caleb Williams' No. 1 target moving forward.
