Get ready for the do-it-all running back derby at Levi’s Stadium, as Bijan Robinson and Christian McCaffrey try to one-up each other on SNF.
While McCaffrey has helped to keep a depleted San Francisco 49ers offense afloat, Robinson has grabbed a bigger share of the spotlight with dynamic outings in consecutive wins for the Atlanta Falcons.
If anyone holds the RB belt, it’s Atlanta’s No.7, and I’m digging into the Bijan Robinson odds and player props ahead of this Sunday, October 19 clash.
Bijan Robinson prop pick
Bijan Robinson best bet: Bijan Robinson Over 122.5 rushing+receiving yards (-114 at FanDuel)
Give me all the Bijan Robinson stock for a second straight prime-time masterpiece.
Robinson ripped through the Buffalo Bills on MNF to the tune of 238 yards from scrimmage, headlined by an 81-yard TD run, and he’s gone past this combo Over in four of Atlanta’s five games this year. In fact, he’s cleared 165 rushing+receiving yards in three of those outings.
He’s also walking into a favorable matchup here. The 49ers have had a revolving door of major injuries, but the loss of Fred Warner in Week 6 might be the blow that sinks San Francisco’s playoff hopes.
Without Warner patrolling the middle of the field, look for Robinson to find more running lanes. There’s a strong case for the 49ers’ middle-of-the-pack defense (321.7 yards allowed per game) to dip significantly over the coming weeks.
I also love the high floor for this prop, with all the ways that the Falcons can get him involved. Bijan has piled up 15 catches in his last three games, with a reception of 20+ yards in four of his five outings this year.
When in doubt, Michael Penix Jr. can simply hand the ball off or check it down to Robinson and let him work his magic.
Bijan Robinson same-game parlay
Bijan Robinson Over 122.5 rushing+receiving yards
Bijan Robinson anytime touchdown
Michael Penix Jr. 250+ passing yards
Put me down for a Bijan touchdown, too. He’s found the end zone three times this year, including TDs in his last two outings, and I expect a decent share of his 20+ touches to come in the red zone.
Plus, San Francisco gave up two rushing TDs last weekend against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
With Robinson’s big-play threat as a receiver, alongside the in-form Drake London, this is a great situation for Penix Jr. to cement himself as Atlanta’s franchise QB.
Penix Jr. hit the 250-yard mark exactly last time out, and he racked up 313 passing yards in Week 4 against the Washington Commanders.
The Falcons don’t have a lot of depth in their receiving corps, with Ray-Ray McCloud out and Darnell Mooney questionable, but that should simply mean more targets for their biggest threats.
