The Green Bay Packers will try to cool off the red-hot Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field in Week 14.
My NFL picks are expecting a close battle between two of the best teams in the NFC, with both sides leaning on their rushing attack in a cold-weather game.
See how that factors into my Bears vs. Packers predictions for Sunday, December 7.
Our best Bears vs Packers SGP for Week 14
The Chicago Bears are 9-1 SU and 8-2 ATS in their previous 10 contests. They are coming off their best win of the year after beating the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles on the road.
Ben Johnson has Chicago's offense firing on all cylinders while the defense leads the NFL with 2.2 takeaways per game.
The Green Bay Packers are 6-3-1 in their last 10 games but have gone 3-7 ATS during that span. They have an explosive offense, but spotting them nearly a touchdown is too much.
Especially since the freezing 25-degree temps on Sunday could lead to a conservative game plan from both offenses, which will make it harder to cover a sizable spread. That's why I'm also backing both running backs to have a productive game.
Green Bay RB Josh Jacobs has been hindered by a knee injury but played through it last week and ran for 83 yards on 17 carries against Detroit's solid run D. He should get a heavy workload against a Bears stop unit that is 29th in DVOA and success rate against the run.
Kyle Monangai and D'Andre Swift have been splitting snaps the last few weeks, but Monangai is dealing with an ankle injury. Swift has rushed for 80+ yards in five of his last seven games and could shoulder the load if the rookie is unable to play or is less than 100%.
