Two of the top teams in the AFC will open the Sunday Night Football slate as the Buffalo Bills play host to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1.
In a battle of MVP quarterbacks, I like Josh Allen to find the endzone, and I also expect Lamar Jackson to find his favorite target in my NFL picks.
Here are my favorite Ravens vs. Bills anytime touchdown picks for Sunday Night Football on Sunday, September 7.
Ravens anytime touchdown pick
Mark Andrews (+135 at bet365)
Now entering his eighth season with the Baltimore Ravens, tight end Mark Andrews has established himself as Lamar Jackson’s favorite security blanket, especially when it comes to scoring in the red zone.
Andrews was as steady as always in 2024, catching 55 of his 69 targets and putting up a receiving success rate of 68.1% — the best of his career.
That efficiency meant that even though Andrews isn’t getting targeted as much as he did in 2021 and 2022, he scored more than ever last season. Andrews collected a career-high 11 touchdowns in 2024, and most notably, he put up a touchdown in each of his last six games to close out the season.
A lot of the talk around Andrews coming into this game will be about his critical drop in Baltimore’s playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills. Some will call it a revenge game; others will speculate over whether the team still trusts him.
Both takes are best ignored. Focus on the fact that Andrews remains Jackson’s favorite target and scored time and again down the stretch last year. A big plus number makes the tight end a great pick to reach the end zone tonight.

Bills anytime touchdown pick
Josh Allen (-115 at bet365)
The Bills rely on their quarterback both in the passing game and to make big plays with his legs. Josh Allen has rushed for 500+ yards in each of his last four seasons, including finishing with 531 yards and 12 scores on the ground in 2024.
Overall, Allen has 27 rushing touchdowns over the past two seasons. While he’ll sometimes score in bunches against the right matchup, the Buffalo superstar also started more regularly getting yardage and scores down the stretch last season, scoring at least one rushing touchdown in six of his last seven regular-season games.
Allen gets chances near the goal line both on designed plays and scrambles. Getting nearly even money is far too generous given how frequently the reigning MVP finds paydirt.
