Early 49ers vs Seahawks spread pick: 49ers +2.5
At first glance, it's the San Francisco 49ers +2.5 or pass. The Niners are my highest power-rated team in the NFL, and the Seattle Seahawks' offense is too one-dimensional for me to trust against a Kyle Shanahan-coached team. Seattle is missing its Week 1 starting running back, Jadarian Price, and ranks just 29th in rushing EPA, per Pro.NFL.com.
The 49ers beat the Seahawks on the road in last season's opener. That's noteworthy because San Francisco was dealing with key injuries in its other two meetings with Seattle, whereas the Niners are mostly healthy this week.
Ultimately, if both teams are at full strength, this should be close to a pick 'em, and I don't think home-field advantage matters enough to justify this number. I'd take the points with San Francisco.

Early 49ers vs Seahawks total pick: Under 47.5
I lean toward the Under 47.5, down to 46.5, because this is a division game between two of the best defenses in the league. According to Warren Sharp, the Seahawks and Niners rank first and second, respectively, in defensive explosive-play rate. Both offenses should have to sustain long drives rather than rely on chunk plays.
Their two regular-season meetings last season went Under the total by an average of 23.0 points per game. The Over hit in the NFC divisional round when Seattle blasted San Francisco 41-6, but the Niners were missing several defensive starters, while the Seahawks had a much stronger rushing attack.
