It has been one of Christian McCaffrey’s least efficient years of his career, and he faces an extremely tough defense on Sunday.

Two teams that have represented the NFC in each of the last three Super Bowls will meet on Wild Card Weekend, as the 12-5 San Francisco 49ers take on the 11-6 Philadelphia Eagles.

The defending champs have some solid matchup advantages on both sides of the ball, which will help us find player props with excellent value.

Here are my top 49ers vs. Eagles player props and NFL picks for Sunday, January 11.

Prop bet #1: Brock Purdy Over 0.5 interceptions

-146 at FanDuel

Brock Purdy threw 10 interceptions this season, despite only playing nine games. He threw nine of his 10 total interceptions when targeting in-breaking routes this season.

The Philadelphia Eagles' defense allowed a league-low 51.9% completion percentage when defending in-breaking routes this season, which is the lowest rate allowed by defense in a season since 2016.

Philly allowed a league-low 40.9% completion percentage on passes targeted to the intermediate depth of the field this season through the first 17 weeks of the season.

Meanwhile, Purdy targeted the intermediate depth of the field on 24.6% of his passes this season, which was the sixth-highest rate in the NFL.

This game is likely going to have a trailing game script for Purdy, especially late, and he is likely to force one into tough coverage to get back in the game.

Prop bet #2: A.J. Brown longest reception Over 23.5 yards

-110 at FanDuel

The Eagles have made it very clear they want to get A.J. Brown heavily involved in the pass game after his early-season struggles.

He has caught 38 of 49 targets for 478 yards and two touchdowns against zone coverage since the Week 9 bye, recording seven of his top eight receiving-yard games of the season during that span.

The San Francisco 49ers defense deployed Cover 3 on 36.9% of opponents' dropbacks and Cover 4 on 25.1%, both of which rank in the top five in the NFL.

Brown excels against zone coverage thanks to his ability to find openings on running hitch routes. He gained 263 receiving yards and a touchdown on hitch routes this season, which was the second-most in the NFL.

With how often he has been targeted recently and how well he matches up with this defense, I love him to get several opportunities to break one either through air yards or yards after catch.

Prop bet #3: Christian McCaffrey Under 18.5 rushing attempts

-136 at FanDuel

The Eagles rank 10th in the NFL in overall rushing efficiency on defense and sixth in defending designed runs.

While Christian McCaffrey typically gets a heavy workload, game script will be a factor, and the Eagles are likely to force a tough game script. In San Francisco’s five losses this season, CMC has logged an average of just 12.4 carries per contest.

McCaffrey faced a loaded box on a career-low 28.0% of his carries this season despite the 49ers’ offense facing loaded boxes at the second-highest rate in the NFL. With the Eagles likely to be leading for much of the game and projected to win, I love CMC to stay Under his total carries.
