Prop bet #1: Jack Endries Over 30.5 receiving yards

There’s not expected to be a plenitude of points in Gainesville this weekend between two sputtering offenses in the Texas Longhorns and the Florida Gators, especially with rain in the forecast. That’s created a situation in the market where nearly every player’s props are priced way down, so it’s time to go dumpster diving.

Enter Jack Endries. The former California Bear was one of the top tight ends in the transfer portal this cycle after racking up 56 receptions for 623 yards last year. After posting at least 50 yards in each of his first two games of the season, he’s fallen back to earth with one catch for four yards in his last two games.

It’s not the time to press the panic button. It was reported before the Sam Houston game that he would be very limited, so a minimal role was to be expected in a blowout victory. There’s no reason to drop his prop down to 30.5 after two games in which he either got injured or played injured.

Florida presents a more difficult challenge, and Texas’ top players will be needed. Endries can definitely be considered one of those players, especially for a passing attack still searching for reliable, go-to playmakers to emerge. Look for Endries to see a handful of targets in Gainseville.

Prop bet #2: Maddux Madsen Over 215.5 passing yards

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish rode one of the best defenses in the sport to the National Championship game a season ago. They’ve fallen off this season, ranking 120th in EPA per play, thanks in large part to a leaky and banged-up secondary (118th).

Teams have taken to the air repeatedly against the Irish, tagging them for 268.8 passing yards per game. With a 20.5-point spread in Notre Dame’s favor in Week 6, there should be plenty of pass attempts for the Boise State Broncos as they play catch-up.

Enter Maddux Madsen. The veteran quarterback has been letting it fly this season, averaging 282.3 passing yards per game. With the rushing attack taking a step back this season sans Ashton Jeanty, more responsibility is falling on Madsen’s shoulders to carry the offensive load.

The Broncos have been moving the ball well through the air, ranking 24th in EPA per pass. They’ve thrown for at least 250 yards in every game this season and for 300+ in each of their last three. Now facing a pass funnel defense, one should expect more of the same.

Prop bet #3: Germie Bernard Over 60.5 receiving yards

When most people think about the Alabama Crimson Tide and their passing attack, the first name that comes to mind is either wide receiver Ryan Williams or quarterback Ty Simpson. It’s been a third name, however, who has been Mr. Reliable for Kalen DeBoer’s squad — Germie Bernard.

The Washington transplant leads the team in receptions (20), receiving yards (310), and receiving touchdowns (four). Offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb is intent on drawing up plays for Bernard, and that game plan won’t change anytime soon. This offense still lacks a reliable ground game, so its top receiving options are the sun around whom the rest of the offensive pieces orbit.

Bernard has recorded more than 60.5 receiving yards in three of his four outings this season and stands a good chance of doing so again in Week 6 against the Vanderbilt Commodores. It’s expected to be a shootout with a total of 55.5, and Vandy’s secondary (81st in EPA per pass allowed) will struggle to match up with Bernard.
