The Michigan Wolverines visit the Nebraska Cornhuskers in a classic Big Ten battle this afternoon.

My Michigan vs. Nebraska predictions and college football picks like both defenses and expect Wolverines QB Bryce Underwood to struggle on Saturday, September 20.

Michigan vs Nebraska prediction

Michigan vs Nebraska best bet: Under 44.5 (-110)

This Michigan Wolverines defense ranks 33rd nationally in scoring, allowing 14.7 points per game. They held Oklahoma, which averages 33.7 points per game, to just 24 points on the road. They were able to force two turnovers as well.

And while this Nebraska Cornhuskers defense has only had one big test, they held Cincinnati to only 17 points on a neutral field. They also forced two turnovers and held them to only 271 total yards. Cincy scored 34 and 70 points in their other two games.

The Nebraska offense had a lot of yards and success in that game, but they struggled in the red zone and were held to just 20 points. They're going to struggle to find the end zone consistently against this Wolverines defense.

Michigan will be without a starting guard, and freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood has been very inconsistent with a 57.5% completion percentage. This will be a close, low-scoring game, making the Under the best play on the board.

Michigan vs Nebraska same-game parlay

To add to the Under, I'm going to take Underwood to struggle in the passing game and Dane Key to find the end zone. Nebraska has one of the best passing offenses in the country, and Key has a touchdown in each game this season.

Michigan vs Nebraska 3-leg SGP

  • Under 44.5
  • Bryce Underwood Under 179.5 passing yards
  • Dane Key anytime touchdown

Our deep-ball SGP: Bully ball

  • I'm adding Justice Haynes to find room in the run game. Cincy could not pass the ball, but did find holes in the run game against Nebraska.

Michigan vs Nebraska 4-leg SGP

  • Under 44.5
  • Bryce Underwood Under 179.5 passing yards
  • Dane Key anytime touchdown
  • Justice Haynes Over 85.5 rushing yards

We also didn’t mention that Michigan could bring back an important safety, Rod Moore, from injury for this game, who will help massively in pass defense.
