The Miami (OH) RedHawks travel west to face the Fresno State Bulldogs in the Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl.

The RedHawks have been stung by the transfer portal, and my Miami (OH) vs. Fresno State predictions expect a low-scoring affair on Saturday.

Read on for my college football picks for Friday, December 27.

Miami (OH) vs Fresno State predictions for the Arizona Bowl

Who will win the Arizona Bowl?

Fresno State is coming off an 8-4 campaign with a relatively intact squad on both sides of the ball. It’ll prove to be too much for a competent yet undermanned Miami (OH) side missing at least four of its best players.

Miami (OH) vs Fresno State best bet: Under 41.5 (-115)

The Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl sets up as a smash-mouth football game, and scoring points will come at a premium.

The Miami (OH) RedHawks arrive shorthanded offensively after significant portal losses, which all but force Miami into a conservative, run-heavy approach designed to wind the clock.

That plays directly into the Fresno State Bulldogs' strengths. The Bulldogs are comfortable winning with defense and controlling field position, rather than relying on fancy plays or explosive scoring.

Neither offense seems efficient enough to justify chasing points and playing the Over.

Miami’s path to competitiveness relies on avoiding mistakes and turning this into a low-possession contest, while Fresno State has shown all season it can control games without pushing tempo.

With two defenses that rank ahead of their respective offenses, this matchup points to stalled drives, punts, and field goals rather than sustained scoring.

Miami (OH) vs Fresno State same-game parlay

The roster disparity is hard to ignore here.

Miami (OH) lost Dequon Finn earlier in the season and will now be without top receiver Kam Perry, plus key defensive pieces Adam Trick and Mychal Yharbrough.

Fresno State doesn’t face the same issues and arrives with continuity on both sides of the ball. Since their statement 30-7 road win over Boise State, the Bulldogs have covered four of their last five, and this sets up as another favorable spot.
